Abstract

Penilaian kualitas warna daun tembakau pasca pengeringan masih banyak dilakukan secara manual, sehingga rawan terjadi ketidakkonsistenan akibat subjektivitas manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem pengukuran mutu warna tembakau hasil pengeringan menggunakan microwave berbasis image processing. Setelah dikeringkan, daun tembakau dianalisis menggunakan webcam, OpenCV, dan YOLOv8 untuk memperoleh data RGB. Data tersebut kemudian diklasifikasikan ke dalam kategori layak dan tidak layak dengan menggunakan algoritma Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) yang diprogram dengan bahasa Python. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menghadirkan metode evaluasi mutu tembakau yang objektif, efisien, dan tidak bergantung pada penilaian subjektif manusia.

The evaluation of tobacco leaf color quality after drying is still often conducted manually, which leads to inconsistencies due to human subjectivity. This research aims to design a quality measurement system for dried tobacco using a microwave-based drying process integrated with image processing technology. After drying, tobacco leaves are analyzed using a webcam and OpenCV with YOLOv8 to obtain RGB data. The data is then classified into layak and tidak layak categories using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), programmed in Python. This system is expected to provide an objective, efficient, and consistent method for evaluating tobacco quality without relying on human perception.
