Abstract
Kebersihan kandang merupakan faktor fundamental dalam keberhasilan usaha peternakan ayam broiler. Akumulasi kotoran yang tidak ditangani dengan cepat dapat memicu peningkatan kadar gas amonia yang berdampak negatif pada kesehatan ternak dan produktivitas panen. Metode pembersihan manual yang umum diterapkan saat ini dinilai kurang efisien dari segi waktu dan konsistensi tenaga kerja. Oleh karena itu, tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang bangun sistem pembersih kotoran ayam otomatis menggunakan mekanisme konveyor yang terintegrasi dengan sensor beban (Load Cell) berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino Uno.
Penelitian ini difokuskan pada analisis perhitungan elemen mesin dan sitem kerja konveyor. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan dan pengujian, sistem konveyor ini terbukti mampu beroperasi membersihkan kotoran dengan beban acuan sebesar 500 gram. Untuk memindahkan beban tersebut, kebutuhan daya teorotis sebesar 0,0885 watt maka dipilih pengerak motor DC dengan daya maksimal 60 Watt dan torsi maksimum 70 kg.cm. Pada roller digunakan poros berdiameter 10 mm dengan material ST37. Hasil analisis tegangan dan defleksi menunjukkan bahwa poros dapat bekerja dengan aman memindahkan beban tanpa mengalami kegagalan, dengan nilai tegangan equivalen 19,03 Mpa hanya sebesar yang mana masih di bawah batas tegangan ijin. Di samping itu, integrasi sensor Load Cell teruji mampu membaca beban dan memberikan instruksi pada mikrokontroler dengan tingkat linieritas pembacaan sebesar 99,6 %. Secara keseluruhan, rancangan sistem mekanis ini terbukti berfungsi dengan baik sesuai dengan parameter desain. Sistem ini menjadi solusi teknis yang andal dalam memindahkan beban kotoran pada target waktu yang ditetapkan, sehingga teruji mampu meningkatkan efisiensi sanitasi kandang sekaligus meminimalkan beban kerja fisik peternak.

Coop hygiene is a fundamental factor in the success of broiler farming. The accumulation of unmanaged manure can trigger an increase in ammonia gas levels, which negatively impacts livestock health and harvest productivity. Current manual cleaning methods are considered inefficient in terms of time and labor consistency. Therefore, this final project aims to design and build an automated chicken manure cleaning system utilizing a conveyor mechanism integrated with a Load Cell sensor based on an Arduino Uno microcontroller. This research is focused on the analysis of machine element calculations and the conveyor's operating system. Based on the design and testing results, the conveyor system is proven capable of operating to clean manure with a reference load of 500 grams. To move this load, the theoretical power requirement is 0.0885 watts; thus, a DC motor with a maximum power of 60 Watts and a maximum torque of 70 kg.cm was selected as the actuator. The roller utilizes a 10 mm diameter shaft made of ST37 material. The stress and deflection analysis results indicate that the shaft can operate safely in moving the load without failure, exhibiting an equivalent stress value of 19.03 MPa, which remains well below the allowable stress limit. Furthermore, the integration of the Load Cell sensor has been proven capable of reading the load and providing instructions to the microcontroller with a reading linearity rate of 99.6%.
Overall, this mechanical system design is proven to function properly in accordance with the design parameters. This system provides a reliable technical solution for moving the manure load within the targeted time, demonstrating its ability to increase coop sanitation efficiency while simultaneously minimizing the physical workload of the farmers.
