Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan nilai persentase absorbansi pelapis Grafit-Fe menggunakan instrumen Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), menganalisis pengaruh variasi ketebalan pelapis terhadap intensitas daya serap, serta menentukan rentang pita frekuensi operasional yang paling optimal. Metode eksperimen dilakukan melalui pelapisan larutan Grafit-Fe di atas substrat kardus dengan variasi ketebalan satu hingga tiga, diikuti karakterisasi dimensi menggunakan mikroskop optik dan pengujian parameter S12 menggunakan VNA untuk analisis perhitungan absorbansi. Hasil pengujian serta analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pada rentang frekuensi rendah (UHF-S band), pelapis Grafit-Fe belum mampu meredam gelombang mikro akibat karakteristik panjang gelombangnya yang besar. Sebaliknya, pada rentang frekuensi tinggi (C, X, dan Ku band), performa efektif ditunjukkan oleh variasi ketebalan 3 apabila ditinjau dari capaian rata-rata persentase absorbansi dibandingkan variasi lainnya, yaitu sebesar 61,28% pada C-band, 49,29% pada X-band, dan 46,50% pada Ku-band.

This study aims to determine the characteristics and percentage absorption values of Graphite-Fe coatings using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), analyze the effect of coating thickness variations on absorption intensity, and determine the most optimal operational frequency band range. The experimental method involved applying Graphite-Fe solution onto cardboard substrates with variations thickness of one to three, followed by dimensional characterization using an optical microscope and S12 parameter measurement via VNA for absorbance calculation analysis. The results indicated that in the low-frequency range (UHF-S band), the Graphite-Fe coating was not yet capable of absorbing microwaves due to their large wavelength characteristics. Conversely, in the high-frequency range (C, X, and Ku bands), the effective performance was completely demonstrated by the thickness variation three, which evaluated based on the average absorbance percentage compared to other variations, the thickness variation three achieved 61.28% in the C-band, 49.29% in the X-band, and 46.50% in the Ku-band.
