Abstract
Meningkatnya tren trail running di Indonesia belum didukung ketersediaan alas kaki teknis yang mampu mengakomodasi karakteristik kaki lebar (wide foot) secara stabil dan nyaman. Evaluasi produk Ortuseight Annapurna generasi pertama mengidentifikasi kelemahan pada sistem penguncian (lockdown) dan kontrol stabilitas lateral yang meningkatkan risiko black toenail serta blister saat berlari downhill. Penelitian ini bertujuan menyempurnakan desain sepatu tersebut melalui pendekatan User-Centered Design dan Design Thinking dengan teori biomekanika dan berdasarkan data observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam, serta kuesioner terhadap 31 responden. Hasil perancangan mengintegrasikan data antropometri wide foot pada pola upper serta menerapkan sistem dual lacing dua zona guna mengunci midfoot. Stabilitas ditingkatkan menggunakan konstruksi hotmelt no-sew, sandwich spandex, seamless cage, dan heel counter TPU tanpa mengubah shoelast eksisting (RO-09H). Sepatu dirancang dengan konsep yang kuat, nyaman, dan tampilan visual agresif. Pengembangan ini menghasilkan tiga varian: Vulcan, Savanna, dan Peak. Masing-masing varian memiliki perbedaan pada penggunaan jenis material dan warna upper yang diperuntukkan bagi beberapa kategori pelari trail. Pengujian usability menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 90% (kategori layak), memvalidasi kesesuaian fitting, serta memberikan perlindungan terukur bagi pelari berprofil kaki lebar secara optimal.

The rising trend of trail running in Indonesia has not been supported by the availability of technical footwear capable of accommodating wide-foot characteristics with stability and comfort. An evaluation of the first-generation Ortuseight Annapurna revealed weaknesses in its lockdown system and lateral stability control, which increase the risk of black toenails and blisters during downhill running. This study aims to refine the shoe's design utilizing User-Centered Design and Design Thinking approaches, integrated with biomechanical theory and based on data gathered from field observations, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires administered to 31 respondents. The resulting design integrates wide-foot anthropometric data into the upper pattern and implements a two-zone dual lacing system to secure the midfoot. Stability is enhanced through the use of hotmelt no-sew construction, sandwich spandex, a seamless cage, and a TPU heel counter, without altering the existing shoe last (RO-09H). The shoe is designed to be durable and comfortable, featuring an aggressive visual aesthetic. This development yielded three variants: Vulcan, Savanna, and Peak. Each variant differs in the types of materials and upper colors used, catering to different categories of trail runners. Usability testing demonstrated a feasibility rate of 90% (categorized as feasible), validating the fitting suitability and providing optimal, measurable protection for runners with wide-foot profiles.
