Abstract
Andronov–Hopf Oscillator (AHO).

The increasing penetration of renewable energy has led to greater integration of inverterbased resources into modern power systems. Under these conditions, maintaining stable voltage and frequency becomes more challenging, which increases the need for Grid-Forming Inverter control strategies capable of regulating voltage and frequency during grid disturbances, including phase jump events. Recent studies have shown the advantages of the Dispatchable
Virtual Oscillator Control (dVOC) based on Andronov-Hopf Oscillator (AHO). In this final project, an additional input signal generated by a Second-Order Generalized Integrator (SOGI) is incorporated into the AHO structure. The objective is to reduce transient current stress and mitigate power surge or dip during phase disturbances. The proposed controller is evaluated through two phase jump variations under two grid-strength conditions, and its performance is
compared with standard AHO-dVOC, Droop, and VSM control. The simulation results show that the proposed SOGI-AHO dVOC produces lower active power deviations, shorter settling
times, and smaller worst phase RMS current compared with the other controllers. These results successfully demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism in improving the GFM performance under phase disturbances.
