Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang drone permukaan air atau Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) untuk mendukung operasi Search and Rescue (SAR) dan pemantauan sungai dalam konteks banjir, mengingat operasi tersebut selama ini masih banyak dilakukan secara manual sehingga berisiko tinggi bagi keselamatan petugas di lapangan. Permasalahan utama yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah keterbatasan alat pada operasi SAR dalam menjangkau area sempit dan berisiko tinggi yang memperlambat penanganan korban, serta pemantauan sungai berbasis CCTV yang belum mampu mencakup titik secara keseluruhan sehingga kondisi aliran dan potensi penyumbatan tidak teridentifikasi secara menyeluruh dan berpotensi memperbesar dampak banjir. Perancangan produk dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan design thinking berbasis Human-Centered Design (HCD) yang terdiri atas tiga fase utama, yaitu inspiration, ideation, dan implementation, sehingga proses perancangan berlangsung mulai dari analisis kebutuhan pengguna hingga pengembangan konsep akhir. Pada fase inspiration, dilakukan pengumpulan data primer berupa wawancara dengan pemangku kepentingan terkait, serta data sekunder dari studi literatur, riset terdahulu, dan analisis produk eksisting. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis untuk merumuskan kebutuhan desain dan kriteria utama, dilanjutkan dengan eksplorasi sketsa ideasi, pemilihan alternatif desain melalui matriks evaluasi, pengembangan model 3D, hingga pembuatan studi model skala untuk simulasi operasional. Hasil penelitian berupa rancangan USV bersistem modular dengan konsep Compact Deployment, Adaptive Mission, dan Operational Awareness, yang dapat melakukan mobilisasi dan peluncuran secara ringkas, penyesuaian payload sesuai kebutuhan misi, serta observasi visual secara real-time. Rancangan ini diharapkan memberikan manfaat khusus berupa peningkatan efektivitas dan keselamatan operasi SAR serta pemantauan sungai saat banjir, sekaligus menjadi kontribusi inovasi produk USV modular yang adaptif terhadap berbagai skenario mitigasi bencana di lingkungan perkotaan.

This research aims to design a surface water drone or Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) to support Search and Rescue (SAR) operations and river monitoring in flood contexts, given that such operations have largely been carried out manually, posing high risks to field personnel safety. The main problems underlying this research are the limitations of existing equipment in SAR operations to reach narrow and high-risk areas, which slows down victim handling, as well as CCTV-based river monitoring that has not been able to cover all points comprehensively, resulting in flow conditions and potential blockages not being fully identified and potentially exacerbating flood impacts. The product design was carried out using a design thinking approach based on Human-Centered Design (HCD), consisting of three main phases from inspiration, ideation, and implementation, so that the design process proceeds from user needs analysis to final concept development. In the inspiration phase, primary data collection was conducted through interviews with relevant stakeholders, along with secondary data from literature studies, previous research, and analysis of existing products. This data was then analyzed to formulate design requirements and key criteria, followed by exploration of ideation sketches, selection of design alternatives through an evaluation matrix, development of 3D models, and creation of scale model studies for operational simulation. The research results in a USV design with a modular system based on the concepts of Compact Deployment, Adaptive Mission, and Operational Awareness, which enables concise mobilization and launching, payload adjustment according to mission needs, and real-time visual observation. This design is expected to provide specific benefits in the form of improved effectiveness and safety of SAR operations and river monitoring during floods, as well as serving as a contribution to modular USV product innovation that is adaptive to various disaster mitigation scenarios in urban environments.
