Abstract
Perkembangan sistem otomasi industri menuntut perangkat kontrol yang andal, fleksibel, serta mudah dalam pemeliharaan dan pengembangan. Pada sistem IKGA di area TQ1 PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia, PLC Eaton Easy 721 yang telah digunakan dalam jangka waktu lama memiliki keterbatasan dalam hal pengembangan pemrograman dan perbaikan ketika terjadi kerusakan. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan rancang bangun penggantian PLC dari Eaton Easy 721 ke Siemens LOGO! 8 untuk meningkatkan performa sistem kontrol tanpa mengubah konfigurasi mekanis dan instrumentasi yang telah ada. Proses migrasi dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi sistem eksisting, pemetaan dan verifikasi 12 Digital Input serta 8 Digital Output, perancangan logika kontrol berbasis Function Block Diagram (FBD), instalasi perangkat keras, serta pengujian fungsional dan uji stabilitas operasi. Program dirancang untuk mengimplementasikan siklus operasi IKGA yang meliputi pre-cooling, insert, sampling, purging, retract, dan post-cooling sesuai standar operasional. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa input dan output telah berfungsi sesuai dengan logika program. Dengan demikian, penggantian PLC berhasil meningkatkan keandalan, kemudahan pemeliharaan, serta potensi pengembangan sistem kontrol IKGA di masa mendatang.

The development of industrial automation systems demands control devices that are reliable, flexible, and easy to maintain and develop. In the IKGA system at the TQ1 area of PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia, the Eaton Easy 721 PLC, which has been used for a long period, has limitations in terms of program development and troubleshooting when failures occur. Therefore, the replacement of the Eaton Easy 721 PLC with the Siemens LOGO! 8 PLC was carried out to improve the performance of the control system without changing the existing mechanical and instrumentation configuration. The migration process was carried out through several stages, including identification of the existing system, mapping and verification of 12 Digital Inputs and 8 Digital Outputs, development of the control logic based on the Function Block Diagram (FBD), hardware installation, functional testing, and operational stability testing. The program was designed to implement the IKGA operating cycle, which includes pre-cooling, insert, sampling, purging, retract, and post-cooling in accordance with the operating standards. The test results showed that the inputs and outputs functioned according to the programmed control logic. Thus, the PLC replacement successfully improved system reliability, ease of maintenance, and the potential for future development of the IKGA control system.
