Abstract

Indonesia sebagai produsen minyak kelapa sawit terbesar di dunia menghadapi tantangan meningkatkan produktivitas panen sekaligus mengurangi ketergantungan pada alat panen impor. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, Kementerian Keuangan melalui Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit mendanai pengembangan Egrek Digital Merah Putih, alat panen berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mampu mendeteksi tingkat kematangan tandan buah segar secara real-time. Inisiatif ini bertujuan memperkuat kemandirian teknologi nasional, meningkatkan efisiensi panen, serta menyediakan alternatif alat panen yang lebih ekonomis dan sesuai dengan kondisi perkebunan kelapa sawit di Indonesia. Namun demikian, meskipun memiliki potensi yang signifikan, tingkat kesadaran terhadap produk tersebut dan adopsinya di lapangan masih relatif terbatas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Business Model Canvas (BMC), Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), analisis SWOT-TOWS, dan Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) yang didukung masukan ahli melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan perusahaan kelapa sawit dan pemangku kepentingan terkait serta data sekunder dari publikasi dan basis data resmi. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis model bisnis dan posisi strategis Egrek Digital Merah Putih, serta merumuskan rekomendasi model bisnis bagi pengembang produk, pembuat kebijakan, dan calon pengguna untuk memperkuat ekosistem adopsinya. Hasil penelitian diharapkan menghasilkan model bisnis yang adaptif guna mempercepat adopsi alat tersebut dan mendukung kemandirian nasional teknologi panen kelapa sawit di Indonesia.

As the world’s largest producer of palm oil, Indonesia faces the challenges of increasing harvesting productivity while reducing its dependence on imported harvesting tools. To address these challenges, the Ministry of Finance, through the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), has funded the development of the Egrek Digital Merah Putih, an Internet of Things (IoT)-based harvesting tool designed to detect the ripeness level of fresh fruit bunches in real time. This initiative aims to strengthen national technological independence, improve harvesting efficiency, and provide a more cost-effective harvesting solution that is better suited to the conditions of Indonesia’s oil palm plantations. However, despite its significant potential, public awareness and field adoption of the product remain relatively limited. This study employs the Business Model Canvas (BMC), Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), SWOT–TOWS analysis, and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM), supported by expert input through a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews with palm oil companies and relevant stakeholders, as well as secondary data obtained from official publications and databases. The study aims to analyze the business model and strategic position of the Egrek Digital Merah Putih and to formulate business model recommendations for product developers, policymakers, and potential users to strengthen its adoption ecosystem. The findings are expected to provide an adaptive business model strategy to accelerates the adoption of the technology and support Indonesia’s national technological independence in palm oil harvesting.
