Abstract
Teknik flap rekonstruksi wajah merupakan prosedur penting dalam bidang Bedah Plastik Rekonstruksi dan Estetik yang digunakan untuk memperbaiki kerusakan jaringan wajah akibat kelainan kongenital, trauma, maupun keganasan kulit melalui pemindahan jaringan hidup dari area donor ke area rekonstruksi. Dalam praktik medis, teknik ini berperan signifikan dalam penanganan kasus cleft lip dan palate serta rekonstruksi pasca eksisi kanker kulit. Di Indonesia, insidensi cleft lip dan palate diperkirakan mencapai sekitar 7.500 kasus per tahun dengan prevalensi nasional sebesar 0,2% dari populasi. Selain itu, kondisi geografis tropis dengan paparan sinar ultraviolet yang tinggi turut berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya kasus kanker kulit, termasuk melanoma, dengan jumlah kasus baru dilaporkan mencapai lebih dari 1.700 kasus dengan prevalensi 0,42%. Tingginya kebutuhan layanan rekonstruksi tersebut menuntut kompetensi teknis yang memadai dari dokter spesialis bedah plastik, sementara sistem pelatihan bedah pada Program Pendidikan Dokter Spesialis (PPDS) di Indonesia masih menghadapi keterbatasan, terutama dalam ketersediaan media simulasi yang representatif, aman, dan dapat digunakan secara berulang pada kegiatan workshop medis. Penelitian ini menghasilkan simulator berbasis maneken sebagai media pelatihan teknik flap rekonstruksi wajah dengan menerapkan prinsip modularitas dan adjustability, serta mempertimbangkan aspek ergonomi kognitif dan antropometri guna meningkatkan kemudahan penggunaan, kenyamanan postur kerja, dan efektivitas proses pembelajaran. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan 78,3% tingkat efektifitas pembelajaran dengan simulator berbasis maneken untuk mendukung pelatihan bedah rekonstruksi wajah khususnya teknik flap, secara sistematis dan aplikatif dalam konteks pendidikan bedah plastik di Indonesia.

Facial reconstruction flap techniques are essential procedures in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, used to restore facial tissue defects resulting from congenital anomalies, trauma, and skin malignancies through the transfer of living tissue from a donor site to the reconstruction area. In clinical practice, these techniques play a significant role in the management of cleft lip and palate cases as well as post-excisional reconstruction of skin cancer. In Indonesia, the incidence of cleft lip and palate is estimated at approximately 7,500 cases per year, with a national prevalence of 0.2% of the population. Furthermore, Indonesia’s tropical geographical conditions and high ultraviolet exposure contribute to an increased incidence of skin cancer, including melanoma, with more than 1,700 new cases reported and a prevalence of 0.42%. The growing demand for reconstructive services requires a high level of technical competence among plastic surgeons; however, surgical training within the Plastic Surgery Residency Program in Indonesia still faces limitations, particularly in the availability of representative, safe, and reusable simulation media for medical workshops. This research produced a mannequin-based simulator for medical workshop of facial reconstruction flap techniques, incorporating principles of modularity and adjustability while addressing cognitive ergonomics and anthropometry to enhance ease of use, working posture comfort, and learning effectiveness. Testing results demonstrated a 78.3% learning effectiveness rate for the simulator in supporting facial reconstruction surgery training specifically regarding flap techniques in a systematic and practical manner within the context of plastic surgery education in Indonesia.
