Abstract

Hall Tower 1 ITS merupakan ruang multifungsi yang aktif digunakan untuk berbagai kegiatan akademik. Renovasi yang telah dilakukan pada ruang ini berpotensi memengaruhi karakteristik akustiknya sehingga diperlukan evaluasi terhadap kondisi eksisting pasca-renovasi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengukuran langsung dan simulasi akustik digital menggunakan EASE 4.3 yang mencakup parameter Background Noise (BN), Noise Criteria (NC), Sound Pressure Level (SPL), Reverberation Time (RT), Bass Ratio (BR), Treble Ratio (TR), Clarity (C80), Definition (D50), dan Speech Transmission Index (STI) berdasarkan ISO 3382-1:2009 pada rentang frekuensi 250 Hz hingga 4.000 Hz. Hasil pengukuran kondisi eksisting menunjukkan seluruh parameter belum memenuhi standar ruang multifungsi yaitu nilai BN sebesar 42,0 – 47,1 dBA dengan NC 25 – NC 50, selisih distribusi SPL sebesar 7,3 dB, waktu dengung sebesar 2,1 – 4,3 s, BR sebesar 0,53 – 1,01, TR sebesar 0,80 – 0,98, C80 sebesar -7,3 hingga -2,6 dB, dan D50 sebesar 10,9 – 26,1%. Nilai waktu dengung yang melampaui standar menyebabkan rendahnya parameter C80, D50, dan STI karena energi bunyi pantul lebih panjang dibandingkan energi bunyi langsung sehingga kejelasan suara menurun. Optimasi sistem tata suara dilakukan melalui penurunan ketinggian speaker samping dari 4,2 m menjadi 3 m, penyesuaian sudut speaker, serta penambahan dua speaker line arrays di bagian depan area panggung. Hasil optimasi menunjukkan peningkatan pada seluruh parameter yaitu nilai dominan SPL meningkat dari 103 dB menjadi 105 dB, C80 dari 3 dB menjadi 5 dB, dan STI dari 0,62 menjadi 0,68 dengan distribusi yang lebih merata di seluruh area audiens.

Hall Tower 1 ITS is a multifunction room actively used for various academic activities. The renovation carried out in this room has the potential to affect its acoustic characteristics, making it necessary to evaluate the existing condition after the renovation. The evaluation was conducted through direct field measurements and digital acoustic simulation using EASE 4.3, covering the parameters of Background Noise (BN), Noise Criteria (NC), Sound Pressure Level (SPL), Reverberation Time (RT), Bass Ratio (BR), Treble Ratio (TR), Clarity (C80), Definition (D50), and Speech Transmission Index (STI) based on ISO 3382-1:2009 in the frequency range of 250 Hz to 4,000 Hz. The measurement results of the existing condition indicate that all parameters have not met the standards for a multifunction room, with BN values of 42.0 – 47.1 dBA at NC 25 – NC 50, SPL distribution difference of 7.3 dB, reverberation time of 2.1 – 4.3 s, BR of 0.53 – 1.01, TR of 0.80 – 0.98, C80 of -7.3 to -2.6 dB, and D50 of 10.9 – 26.1%. The reverberation time exceeding the standard causes low values of C80, D50, and STI, as the reflected sound energy persists longer than the direct sound energy, thereby reducing sound clarity. Sound system optimization was carried out by lowering the height of the side speakers from 4.2 m to 3 m, adjusting the speaker angles, and adding two line arrayy speakers at the front of the stage area. The optimization results show improvement across all evaluated parameters, with the dominant SPL value increasing from 103 dB to 105 dB, C80 from 3 dB to 5 dB, and STI from 0.62 to 0.68, with a more uniform distribution throughout the audience area.
