Abstract

PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (IKPT) merupakan perusahaan nasional yang bergerak di bidang Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC). Salah satu proyek yang sedang dikerjakan adalah Muara Laboh Stage-2 Geothermal Power Plant Project. Pada pembangkit listrik tenaga panas bumi, fluida dari reservoir berupa two-phase fluid yang terdiri dari steam dan brine, sehingga diperlukan separator untuk memisahkan kedua fase tersebut agar steam dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai penggerak turbin dan brine dialirkan menuju sistem reinjeksi atau jalur pembuangan. Pada kegiatan magang ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perhitungan Cv untuk mengetahui ukuran body size control valve yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan proses dilapangan dengan menggunakan software InstruCalc berdasarkan standar ISA S75.01.01. Didapatkan hasil dari perhitungan Cv yaitu 1808 pada kondisi aliran maksimum dengan bukaan travel 72,32%, Cv dalam kondisi normal 1208 dengan bukaan travel 48,32%, Cv dalam kondisi minimum 448,2 dengan bukaan travel 17,93%, berdasarkan perhitungan Cv yang dilakukan control valve ML02HHU43AA151 dan ML02HHU43AA151 dengan body size 16 inchi adalah pilihan yang ideal.

PT Inti Karya Persada Tehnik (IKPT) is a national company engaged in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC). One of the projects currently underway is the Muara Laboh Stage-2 Geothermal Power Plant Project. In geothermal power plants, the fluid from the reservoir is a two-phase fluid consisting of steam and brine; therefore, a separator is required to separate these two phases so that the steam can be used to drive the turbine and the brine can be directed to the reinjection system or discharge line. The objective of this internship was to calculate the Cv value to determine the appropriate control valve body size for on-site process requirements using InstruCalc software in accordance with the ISA S75.01.01 standard. The Cv calculation results were as follows: 1808 at maximum flow conditions with a travel opening of 72.32%, a Cv value of 1,208 under normal conditions with a valve travel of 48.32%, and a Cv value of 448.2 under minimum conditions with a valve travel of 17.93%. Based on these Cv calculations, the ML02HHU43AA151 control valves with a 16-inch body size are the ideal choice.
