Abstract

Pelafalan (pronunciation) dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris merupakan komponen kunci yang menantang bagi pembelajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan rancangan aplikasi pembelajaran pelafalan kosa kata berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) dan Web, membandingkan skor ketergunaa kedua platform, serta menganalisis pola hubungan pengaruh antara variabel Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) dan Self-Determination Theory (SDT). Melibatkan 46 mahasiswa STITEK Bontang sebagai responden, sistem dikembangkan menggunakan Laravel dan Livewire untuk Web, serta Unity dan Vuforia untuk AR, dengan integrasi SpeechAce API untuk penilaian otomatis. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner System Usability Scale (SUS) dan kuesioner integrasi Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) dan Self-Determination Theory (SDT), lalu dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) melalui SmartPLS 4. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan kedua platform memiliki ketergunaan yang baik, dengan skor SUS sebesar 93,33 untuk Web dan 83,54 untuk AR. Hasil penelitian awal bersifat inkonklusif karena arah kausal tidak dapat dibuktikan secara empiris dan instrument yang tidak stabil. Namun, Melalui rekonstruksi model baru, ditemukan bahwa Intrinsic Motivation (IM) berperan sebagai aspek utama yang memengaruhi Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), yang kemudian menjadi penggerak utama dalam persepsi penggunaan aplikasi tersebut.

English pronunciation is a key yet challenging component for learners. This study aims to describe the design of a vocabulary pronunciation learning application based on Augmented Reality (AR) and Web, compare the usability scores of both platforms, and analyze the causal relationship patterns between the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Self-Determination Theory (SDT) variables. Involving 46 students from STITEK Bontang as respondents, the system was developed using Laravel and Livewire for the Web platform, and Unity and Vuforia for the AR platform, integrating the SpeechAce API for pronunciation assessment. Data were collected through the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire and an integrated TAM-SDT questionnaire, which were then analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4. The evaluation results indicated that both platforms achieved good usability, with a SUS score of 93.33 for the Web application and 83.54 for the AR application. The initial research findings were inconclusive due to unprovable empirical causal directions and an unstable instrument. However, through model reconstruction, it was discovered that Intrinsic Motivation (IM) acts as the primary aspect influencing Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), which subsequently becomes the main driver in the perception of using the application.
