Abstract

Neuroarsitektur berusaha melihat Arsitektur sebagai sumber stimulus yang perlu dirancang agar meminimalkan hadirnya distraksi yang berdampak negatif terhadap performa kognitif pengguna. Kantor industri kreatif dicerminkan oleh penggunaan denah terbuka untuk mendukung komunikasi dan kolaborasi. Namun, konfigurasi tersebut justru berdampak negatif pada performa kognitif dan fokus pengguna. Perancangan ini mengkonseptualisasikan distraksi sebagai konsekuensi dari desain Arsitektur dan ruang, khususnya bangunan kantor industri kreatif. Desain bangunan kantor industri kreatif perlu mendukung performa kognitif pekerja khususnya dalam berkolaborasi dan berpikir kreatif. Hal tersebut dapat dicapai dengan restrukturisasi konsep distraksi berbasis Neuroarsitektur pada perancangan kantor industri kreatif. Perancangan berbasis penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan kerangka kerja concept based yang diawali ide besar yang berasal dari pengalaman distraksi pekerja industri kreatif di kantor. Metode yang terlibat selama proses perancangan adalah metode kualitatif, modelling, drawing, naratif, dan checklist. Alkemi inderawi merupakan ide besar yang digunakan pada perancangan yang bertujuan untuk mentransformasikan stimulus dengan cara menyaring dengan tujuan menyesuaikan stimulus berdasarkan aktivitas pengguna. Rancangan menghasilkan penyusunan lima tingkat pengendalian distraksi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan ruang, gradien organisasi ruang, serta pengaturan beberapa aspek arsitektural, seperti material, levelling, organisasi ruang, enclosure, dan interior. Distraksi pada rancangan tidak dipandang sebagai masalah yang perlu dihilangkan, tetapi sebagai sumber daya yang dapat dikendalikan untuk memperkaya ruang dan mengarahkan perilaku pengguna.

Neuroarchitecture seeks to view architecture as a source of stimuli that needs to be designed to minimize distraction that negatively impacts users' cognitive performance. Creative industry offices are characterized by the use of open floor plans to support communication and collaboration. However, this configuration negatively impacts users' cognitive performance and focus. This design conceptualizes distraction as a consequence of architectural and spatial design, specifically that of creative industry office buildings. Creative industry office building designs need to support workers' cognitive performance, particularly in collaboration and creative thinking. This can be achieved by restructuring the concept of distraction based on neuroarchitecture within creative industry office design. This qualitative research-based design utilizes a concept-based framework that begins with a big idea derived from creative industry workers' experiences of distraction in the office. The methods employed throughout the design process include qualitative research methods, modeling, drawing, narrative, and checklists. "Sensory Alchemy" is the big idea used in this design, which aims to transform stimuli by filtering them to adapt to user activity. This design resulted in five levels of distraction control tailored to the space's requirements, a spatial organization gradient, and the arrangement of several architectural aspects, such as materials, levelling, spatial organization, enclosure, and interior design. Within this design, distraction is not regarded as a problem to be eliminated, but as a resource that can be used to control stimuli, thereby enriching the space and shaping user behavior.
