Abstract

Wisata religi di Kabupaten Sidoarjo memiliki potensi sebagai salah satu daya tarik wisata yang mendukung pelestarian nilai sejarah, budaya, dan spiritual masyarakat. Namun, pengembangannya masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, kurangnya integrasi antardestinasi, serta lemahnya koordinasi antarpemangku kepentingan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan arahan pengembangan wisata religi di Kabupaten Sidoarjo berdasarkan preferensi pengunjung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis dilakukan melalui identifikasi karakteristik dan tipologi pengunjung, analisis preferensi pengunjung menggunakan Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), serta analisis persepsi pemangku kepentingan menggunakan Content Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengunjung wisata religi memiliki 2 karakteristik tipologi, yaitu tipe peziarah dan tipe wisatawan yang memiliki karakter yang berbeda. Hasil IPA menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan fasilitas, aksesibilitas, pelayanan, dan informasi destinasi masih menjadi prioritas pengembangan, sedangkan Content Analysis menunjukkan pentingnya kolaborasi antara pemerintah, pengelola, masyarakat, tokoh agama, akademisi, dan sektor swasta. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, arahan pengembangan difokuskan pada penguatan kualitas setiap destinasi sesuai karakteristiknya serta penguatan sinergi antarkawasan melalui peningkatan konektivitas, integrasi informasi, dan kerja sama antarpemangku kepentingan.

Religious tourism in Sidoarjo Regency has significant potential as a tourist attraction that supports the preservation of historical, cultural, and spiritual values within the community. However, its development continues to face several challenges, including inadequate infrastructure, limited integration among destinations, and weak coordination among stakeholders. This study aims to formulate development directions for religious tourism in Sidoarjo Regency based on visitor preferences. A mixed methods approach was employed by integrating quantitative and qualitative analyses. The analysis involved identifying visitor characteristics and travel typologies, examining visitor preferences using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), and analyzing stakeholder perceptions through Content Analysis. The findings reveal that religious tourism visitors are categorized into two typological groups, namely the pilgrim type and the tourist type, each with distinct characteristics. The (IPA) results reveal that improvements in facilities, accessibility, services, and destination information remain the main development priorities. Meanwhile, the Content Analysis highlights the importance of collaboration among the government, destination managers, local communities, religious leaders, academics, and the private sector. Based on these findings, the proposed development directions focus on strengthening the quality of each destination according to its characteristics while enhancing inter-destination synergy through improved connectivity, integrated information systems, and stakeholder collaboration.
