Abstract
Transisi energi dan pembatasan konsumsi bahan bakar fosil menuntut ketersediaan moda transportasi publik yang efisien, terutama pada kawasan terbatas seperti kampus dan industri. Penelitian ini merancang shuttle bus elektrik multipurpose untuk kawasan operasional berskala luas dengan populasi tinggi, di mana fasilitas transportasi internal eksisting belum sepenuhnya mengakomodasi kebutuhan sirkulasi yang efisien, inklusif, serta kebutuhan logistik khusus seperti pengangkutan purwarupa atau maket berdimensi besar. Metode perancangan mengadopsi standar pengembangan kendaraan komersial, meliputi Product Planning & Research, Objective Formulation, Design & Package Ideation, Benchmarking, hingga Design & Prototyping. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa perancangan membutuhkan inovasi fleksibilitas ruang yang diwujudkan melalui tiga konsep utama: Konsep Multipurpose untuk menciptakan ruang kargo modular secara instan; Konsep Aksesibilitas melalui platform sasis elektrik low-deck dan pintu ganda; serta Konsep Panoramic Capsule yang menghadirkan eksterior kompak dan monolitik dengan dominasi kaca pandang luas. Hasil akhir perancangan diwujudkan dalam bentuk 3D modeling digital dan purwarupa fisik berskala, sekaligus tervalidasi memiliki prospek pasar Business-to-Business (B2B) yang substansial sebagai komoditas armada komersial ramah lingkungan bagi kawasan industri dan pendidikan.

Energy transition and fossil fuel consumption restrictions demand efficient public transportation, particularly within restricted areas such as campuses and industrial zones. This research designs a multipurpose electric shuttle bus for large-scale, high-population operational areas, where existing internal transportation facilities do not fully accommodate efficient, inclusive circulation and specific logistical needs, such as transporting large-scale prototypes or models. The design method adopts commercial vehicle development standards, encompassing Product Planning & Research, Objective Formulation, Design & Package Ideation, Benchmarking, and Design & Prototyping. Analysis results indicate that the design requires spatial flexibility innovation, implemented through three main concepts: the Multipurpose Concept, enabling instant modular cargo space; the Accessibility Concept, utilizing a low-deck electric chassis platform and double doors; and the Panoramic Capsule Concept, presenting a compact, monolithic exterior with expansive windows. The final design outcome is realized through digital 3D modeling and a scaled physical prototype, and is validated to possess substantial Business-to-Business (B2B) market prospects as an eco-friendly commercial fleet commodity for industrial and educational zones.
