Abstract

Lantana camara merupakan salah satu tumbuhan dari
famili verbenaceae yang banyak mengandung senyawa
metabolit sekunder yaitu alkaloid, flavanoid, saponin dan
tannin yang bisa berperan sebagai antibakteri. Streptococcus
iniae merupakan salah satu bakteri pathogen ikan yang
menyebabkan kelesuan, bisul exopthalmia dan
meningoencephalitis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui konsentrasi efektif ekstrak daun tembelekan yang
mampu menghasilkan zona hambat tertinggi serta mengetahui
nilai MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) dan MBC
(Minimum Bactericidal Concentration) ekstrak daun
tembelekan, penelitian ini menggunakan uji difusi cakram
untuk menentukan zona hambat dan uji dilusi untuk
menentukan MIC dan MBC
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah konsentrasi efektif
ekstrak daun tembelekan (Lantana camara L) yang mampu
menghasilkan zona hambat tertinggi adalah 400 mg/ml
dengan diameter zona hambat 22,00 mm sedangkan nilai MIC
dari ekstrak daun adalah 460 mg/ml dan tidak ditemukan
nilai MBC pada kisaran konsentrasi 400 mg/ml sampai
dengan 580 mg/ml.

Lantana camara is one of the family Verbenaceae
plant that contain many secondary metabolites which are
alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins and tannins that can act as an
antibacterial. Streptococcus iniae is one of the bacterial fish
pathogen that causes lethargy, ulcers exopthalmia and
meningoencephalitis. This study aims to determine the size of
the diameter of the inhibition zone formed at each
concentration of Lantana camara leaf extract against
Streptococcus iniae, determine the minimum concentration of
Lantana camara leaf extract that has the potential to inhibit
the bacteria Streptococcus iniae, determine the minimum
concentration of Lantana camara leaf extract potentially in
kill the bacteria Streptococcus iniae. This study using the
method disk difution test to measure of inhibition zone and
tube dillution test with determination of MIC and MBC
The results of this research are the effective
concentration of leaf extract tembelekan (Lantana camara )
which is capable to produce the highest inhibition zone was
400 mg / ml with inhibition zone diameter of 22.00 mm while
the value of MIC leaf extract is 460 mg / ml and the value of
MBC was not found in concentration range of 400 mg/ml
until 580 mg/ml
