Abstract

Perancangan struktur sekat dan geladak merupakan tahap penting dalam desain kapal untuk memastikan kapal mampu menahan beban yang bekerja selama operasi. Perhitungan konstruksi yang umumnya dilakukan secara manual atau dengan perangkat lunak komersial yang mahal dan tertutup menyulitkan mahasiswa serta perancang pemula dalam memahami proses perhitungan secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat lunak berbasis MATLAB dengan antarmuka grafis (GUI) untuk merancang struktur sekat melintang berpenegar dan bergelombang, sekat memanjang dengan konfigurasi satu dan dua sekat, serta struktur geladak kapal tanker sesuai dengan aturan Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) 2022 Volume II Rules for Hull. Perangkat lunak menghitung tekanan desain menurut Section 4 D, tebal pelat dan modulus penampang penegar menurut Section 11 B, geometri serta modulus sekat bergelombang menurut Section 11 B.4, dan pemeriksaan tekuk menurut Section 3 F, kemudian menampilkan hasilnya dalam bentuk gambar penampang dua dimensi beserta ringkasan perhitungan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat lunak mampu menghasilkan perhitungan yang sesuai dengan standar BKI, mempercepat proses desain awal, serta mengurangi kesalahan yang sering terjadi pada perhitungan manual.

The design of bulkhead and deck structures is an essential stage in ship design to ensure that a ship can withstand the loads acting on it during operation. Structural calculations are commonly performed manually or with expensive, closed commercial software, which makes it difficult for students and novice designers to understand the calculation process in depth. This study aims to develop MATLAB-based software with a graphical user interface (GUI) to design stiffened and corrugated transverse bulkheads, longitudinal bulkheads with one- and two-bulkhead configurations, and the deck structure of a tanker in accordance with the rules of Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) 2022 Volume II Rules for Hull. The software computes design pressures according to Section 4 D, plate thickness and stiffener section modulus according to Section 11 B, corrugated bulkhead geometry and section modulus according to Section 11 B.4, and buckling checks according to Section 3 F, then presents the results as two-dimensional cross-section drawings together with a calculation summary. The test results show that the software produces calculations consistent with the BKI standard, accelerates the preliminary design process, and reduces the errors frequently found in manual calculations.
