Abstract
Proses bunkering kapal merupakan kegiatan transfer bahan bakar yang memerlukan pengawasan terhadap integritas fisik sambungan hose untuk mendukung keamanan operasional. Pengawasan yang masih mengandalkan inspeksi visual memiliki keterbatasan dalam mendeteksi perubahan kondisi sambungan maupun potensi pengalihan aliran melalui jalur bypass secara real-time. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun prototipe sistem monitoring hose dan digital seal berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32, sensor reed switch sebagai digital seal, sensor flowmeter YF-S201, protokol komunikasi MQTT, dan dashboard monitoring berbasis Node-RED. Sistem dirancang untuk memantau kondisi fisik sambungan hose, menampilkan parameter laju aliran dan volume secara real-time, serta memberikan alarm ketika terdeteksi perubahan kondisi digital seal maupun indikasi gangguan aliran. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan test rig skala laboratorium melalui beberapa skenario, yaitu kondisi normal, pelepasan digital seal, dan pengalihan aliran melalui jalur bypass. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil mendeteksi perubahan status digital seal secara real-time dengan rata-rata waktu respons sekitar 0,6 detik, komunikasi data antara ESP32 dan dashboard Node-RED melalui MQTT berjalan dengan baik, serta dashboard mampu menampilkan status sistem, laju aliran, volume total, dan riwayat kejadian secara real-time. Selain itu, pengujian jalur bypass menunjukkan adanya perubahan karakteristik aliran yang dapat dipantau melalui pembacaan flowmeter sehingga memberikan indikasi terjadinya pengalihan aliran pada sistem simulasi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, prototipe yang dikembangkan mampu menjalankan fungsi monitoring integritas fisik hose dan kondisi aliran secara real-time sebagai lapisan tambahan pengawasan untuk mendukung keamanan proses bunkering kapal.

Ship bunkering is a fuel transfer operation that requires continuous monitoring of hose connection integrity to ensure operational safety. Conventional monitoring methods still rely on visual inspection, making it difficult to detect changes in hose connections and potential flow diversion through bypass lines in real time. This study aims to design and develop a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based hose monitoring and digital seal system using an ESP32 microcontroller, a reed switch as a digital seal, a YF-S201 flow sensor, the MQTT communication protocol, and a Node-RED-based monitoring dashboard. The proposed system is designed to monitor the physical condition of hose connections, display flow rate and total volume in real time, and generate an alarm when changes in the digital seal status or abnormal flow conditions are detected. The prototype was evaluated using a laboratory-scale test rig under several operating scenarios, including normal operation, digital seal disconnection, and bypass flow simulation. The results showed that the system successfully detected changes in the digital seal status in real time with an average response time of approximately 0.6 seconds. Data communication between the ESP32 and the Node-RED dashboard through MQTT was successfully established, and the dashboard was able to display system status, flow rate, total volume, and event history in real time. In addition, the bypass tests showed changes in flow characteristics that could be observed through the flow sensor, indicating the occurrence of flow diversion in the simulated system. Overall, the developed prototype was able to perform real-time monitoring of hose integrity and flow conditions, providing an additional layer of monitoring to support the security of ship bunkering operations.
