Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada perancangan secure bag yang ditujukan bagi pria dengan mobilitas tinggi yang sering melakukan perjalanan singkat (short-duration travel). Meningkatnya aktivitas perjalanan jarak pendek di lingkungan urban turut meningkatkan risiko kehilangan barang pribadi di ruang publik seperti transportasi umum, bandara, dan area komersial. Tas sebagai media penyimpanan utama masih didominasi oleh fungsi membawa barang, sementara aspek keamanan dan identifikasi kepemilikan belum terintegrasi secara optimal dalam desain produk.
Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui studi literatur, observasi lapangan, wawancara, survei pengguna, serta analisis produk sejenis untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan kebutuhan pengguna terkait keamanan barang selama mobilitas. Hasil analisis tersebut menjadi dasar dalam pengembangan konsep desain tas yang mengintegrasikan sistem keamanan fisik dan identifikasi digital dalam satu kesatuan produk.
Perancangan ini menghasilkan konsep tas yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai wadah penyimpanan, tetapi juga sebagai media perlindungan barang pribadi yang memberikan rasa aman, kontrol, serta nilai tambah dalam konteks mobilitas urban. Produk dirancang dengan mempertimbangkan aspek fungsional, ergonomi, dan pengalaman pengguna, sehingga mampu menjawab kebutuhan perjalanan singkat pria urban secara lebih komprehensif.

This study focuses on the design of a secure bag intended for men with high mobility who frequently undertake short-duration travel. The increasing frequency of short-distance travel in urban environments has led to a higher risk of personal item loss in public spaces such as public transportation, airports, and commercial areas. Bags, as the primary storage medium, are still predominantly designed to carry belongings, while security and ownership identification aspects have not yet been optimally integrated into product design.
The research was conducted through literature review, field observation, interviews, user surveys, and comparative product analysis to identify user problems and needs related to the security of personal belongings during mobility. The findings served as the basis for developing a bag design concept that integrates physical security and digital identification into a single product system.
The design results in a bag concept that functions not only as a storage container but also as a protective medium for personal belongings, providing users with a sense of safety, control, and added value within the context of urban mobility. The product is designed by considering functional, ergonomic, and user experience aspects, thereby addressing the needs of urban male short-duration travelers in a more comprehensive manner.
