Abstract

Fasilitas kesehatan merupakan bagian penting di dalam proses penyembuhan pasien. Kondisi fasilitas kesehatan secara empiris mempengaruhi kondisi psikologi maupun emosi pasien. Bagi pasien kanker yang harus menerima pengobatan dalam jangka panjang seperti kemoterapi, dimana pasien harus mengunjungi lingkungan yang sama dan monoton untuk mendapatkan pengobatan, dan tidak jarang pula pengobatan yang diperoleh mengakibatkan rasa sakit yang tidak tertahan bagi pasien. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu mengidentifikasi adanya keterkaitan antara kondisi lingkungan pengobatan dengan kenyamanan emosional pasien. Sebagian besar penelitian menggunakan metode review paper ataupun pengamatan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan tersebut, namun hingga saat ini belum ada pengukuran kuantitaif yang digunakan untuk membuktikan keterkaitan tersebut. Oleh sebab itu, berdasarkan permasalah tersebut, maka dilakukan pengujian pengaruh lingkungan yang menyembuhkan terhadap kenyamanan emosional pasien kanker, khususnya pasien kanker anak menggunakan kombinasi structural equation modelling (SEM) dengan artificial neural network (ANN). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan kuesioner yang mencakup factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kenyamanan emosional pasien kanker anak di One-day Care Rumah Sakit Soetomo Surabaya. SEM-PLS merupakan salah satu pengembangan metode SEM, dimana dalam pengestimasian parameter tidak memerlukan adanya asumsi distribusi tertentu, serta dapat dilakukan dalam jumlah sampel yang kecil, sedangkan ANN dapat menunjukkan hubungan variabel laten dengan nilai akurasi yang lebih baik.

Healthcare facilities are an important part of the patient's healing process. The condition of health facilities empirically affects the psychological and emotional condition of patients. For cancer patients who must receive long-term treatment such as chemotherapy, where patients must visit the same and monotonous environment to get treatment, and not infrequently the treatment obtained results in unbearable pain for patients. Several previous studies have identified a link between the treatment environment and patients' quality of life. Most of the studies used review paper or observation methods to determine the relationship, but until now there has been no quantitative measurement used to prove the relationship. Therefore, based on these problems, the influence of the healing environment on cancer patients’ quality of life, especially pediatric cancer patients, was examined using a combination of structural equation modelling (SEM) with neural networks (NN). Data were collected through observation and questionnaires covering six factors that affect cancer patients’ quality of life at One-day Care Soetomo Hospital Surabaya. The combination of PLS-SEM method with ANN was conducted, hoping to obtain latent variable relationship modelling with good accuracy value. PLS SEM is one of the developments of the SEM method, where parameter estimation does not require certain distribution assumptions, and can be done in a small sample size. However, although PLS-SEM has been able to predict the relationship between variables, the accuracy value provided is not better than other methods. So, when combined with ANN, it is expected to obtain latent variable relationship modelling with better accuracy.
