Abstract

Program Pendidikan Profesi Arsitek (PPAr) mensyaratkan pemenuhan 13 unit kompetensi arsitek sesuai Standar Kompetensi Arsitek Indonesia (SKAI), yang mengacu pada UIA Accord on Recommended International Standards of Professionalism in Architectural Practice dan Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 6 Tahun 2017 tentang Arsitek. Laporan ini mendokumentasikan pencapaian kompetensi tersebut melalui dua proyek perancangan, yaitu Gedung Asrama Putri SMA pada Kompleks Sekolah Rakyat Surabaya (PPA 1) dan Ekstensi Gedung Kantor TRIV Kertajaya Surabaya (PPA 2). Permasalahan desain PPA 1 berfokus pada penyediaan fasilitas hunian bagi para peserta didik Sekolah Rakyat pada jenjang SMA. Perancangan pada PPA 1 berfokus pada mendukung pembinaan karakter, interaksi sosial, dan kehidupan komunal peserta didik dengan mempertimbangkan konteks lokasi dan genius loci secara regional. Sementara itu, PPA 2 berfokus pada perancangan ekstensi kantor disebelah kantor yang awal dengan tetap mempertahankan style, vibes, dan suasana dari kantor awal, tetapi memiliki perbedaan. Pendekatan PPA 2 dilandasi kajian tapak, preseden kantor awal, dan eksplorasi material dari suasana yang diinginkan oleh klien. Metodologi penyusunan laporan meliputi pengumpulan data, analisis konteks dan kebutuhan pengguna, perumusan konsep, pengembangan rancangan skematik hingga detail, serta koordinasi lintas disiplin struktur dan MEP sesuai tuntutan ketiga belas kompetensi arsitek. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah terpenuhinya bukti kompetensi arsitek secara menyeluruh melalui rancangan yang responsif terhadap konteks sosial, budaya, dan lingkungan, serta dapat dipertanggungjawabkan secara teknis, estetis, dan manajerial sesuai standar praktik profesi arsitek di Indonesia.

The Architect Professional Education Program (PPAr) requires candidates to demonstrate competency in 13 architectural competency units as stipulated by the Indonesian Architect Competency Standards (SKAI), which are aligned with the UIA Accord on Recommended International Standards of Professionalism in Architectural Practice and Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 6 Tahun 2017 about Architects. This report documents the achievement of these competencies through two architectural design projects: the Girls’ High School Dormitory within the Surabaya People’s School Complex (PPA 1) and the Extension of the TRIV Office Building in Kertajaya, Surabaya (PPA 2). The primary design challenge in PPA 1 is the provision of residential facilities for senior high school students enrolled in the People’s School program. The design approach for PPA 1 emphasizes the development of students’ character, social interaction, and communal living while responding to the regional context and the site's genius loci. In contrast, PPA 2 focuses on designing an extension adjacent to the existing office building that preserves the architectural language, atmosphere, and overall character of the original office while establishing its own distinct identity. The design process for PPA 2 is based on site analysis, a study of the existing office as a design precedent, and material exploration to achieve the spatial ambiance envisioned by the client. The methodology employed in this report includes data collection, contextual and user-needs analysis, concept formulation, schematic and detailed design development, and interdisciplinary coordination with structural and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) consultants in accordance with the requirements of the thirteen architectural competency units. The expected outcome is comprehensive evidence of architectural competency demonstrated through design solutions that respond effectively to social, cultural, and environmental contexts while remaining technically sound, aesthetically appropriate, and professionally accountable in accordance with the standards of architectural practice in Indonesia.
