Abstract

Program Pendidikan Profesi Arsitek (PPAr) mewajibkan setiap peserta memenuhi 13 unit kompetensi arsitek sebagaimana diatur dalam Standar Kompetensi Arsitek Indonesia (SKAI), yang mengacu pada UIA Accord on Recommended International Standards of Professionalism in Architectural Practice serta Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 6 Tahun 2017 tentang Arsitek. Pemenuhan kompetensi tersebut dibuktikan melalui proses perancangan yang mencerminkan kemampuan profesional calon arsitek. Laporan ini mendokumentasikan pencapaian setiap kompetensi berdasarkan dua proyek perancangan yang dilaksanakan selama PPAr, yaitu Perancangan Gedung SMA pada Kompleks Sekolah Rakyat Surabaya (PPA 1) dan Perancangan F&B Sport Center Besar, Ngagel, Surabaya (PPA 2). Kajian desain PPA 1 berfokus pada perancangan Gedung SMA dalam Kompleks Sekolah Rakyat Surabaya yang dirancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan fasilitas pendidikan bagi siswa dari keluarga kurang mampu. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi meliputi penyediaan ruang belajar yang fungsional, aman, dan nyaman, serta mampu mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar sesuai dengan standar bangunan pendidikan. Sementara itu, proyek PPA 2 berfokus pada perancangan fasilitas F&B yang berada di dalam kawasan Sport Center Besar, Ngagel, Surabaya. Perancangan menitikberatkan pada penyediaan fasilitas kuliner yang mampu mendukung aktivitas olahraga dan rekreasi melalui pengaturan zonasi, sirkulasi pengunjung dan operasional, hubungan antar ruang, serta penerapan konsep open kitchen untuk menciptakan pengalaman bersantap yang fungsional dan menarik. Penyusunan laporan ini bertujuan untuk mendokumentasikan sekaligus mengevaluasi pencapaian 13 unit kompetensi arsitek melalui pengalaman perancangan pada kedua proyek tersebut. Setiap kompetensi dipaparkan secara sistematis dengan mengaitkan proses pengambilan keputusan, penerapan prinsip perancangan, serta hasil yang diperoleh sebagai bentuk implementasi kompetensi profesional sesuai dengan Standar Kompetensi Arsitek Indonesia.

The Professional Architect Education Program (PPAr) requires every participant to fulfill the 13 Architect Competency Units as stipulated in the Indonesian Architect Competency Standards (Standar Kompetensi Arsitek Indonesia/SKAI), which refer to the UIA Accord on Recommended International Standards of Professionalism in Architectural Practice and the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2017 concerning Architects. The achievement of these competencies is demonstrated through the design process, reflecting the professional capabilities expected of prospective architects. This report documents the achievement of each competency based on two design projects completed during the PPAr program, namely the Design of the Senior High School Building within the Sekolah Rakyat Surabaya Complex (PPA 1) and the Design of the F&B Facility at Sport Center Besar, Ngagel, Surabaya (PPA 2). The PPA 1 design project focuses on the design of a Senior High School building within the Sekolah Rakyat Surabaya Complex, intended to provide educational facilities for students from underprivileged families. The primary design challenges include providing functional, safe, and comfortable learning spaces while supporting teaching and learning activities in accordance with educational building standards. Meanwhile, the PPA 2 project focuses on the design of an F&B facility within the Sport Center Besar, Ngagel, Surabaya. The design emphasizes the provision of dining facilities that support sports and recreational activities through effective zoning, visitor and operational circulation, spatial relationships, and the implementation of an open kitchen concept to create a functional and engaging dining experience. This report aims to document and evaluate the achievement of the 13 Architect Competency Units through the design experiences gained from both projects. Each competency is presented systematically by relating the design decision-making process, the application of architectural design principles, and the resulting outcomes as evidence of the implementation of professional competencies in accordance with the Indonesian Architect Competency Standards.
