Abstract
Laporan ini mendokumentasikan penerapan kompetensi arsitek melalui dua proyek perancangan, yaitu Perancangan Gedung Dapur dan Kantin Sekolah Rakyat Surabaya dan Perancangan Rumah Tinggal The Terracotta Manor. Kedua proyek disusun sebagai representasi penerapan proses perancangan arsitektur yang mengacu pada Tiga Belas (13) Standar Kompetensi Arsitek, mulai dari analisis, pengembangan konsep, hingga penyusunan dokumen desain. Proyek Gedung Dapur dan Kantin Sekolah Rakyat Surabaya dirancang sebagai fasilitas pendukung pendidikan yang melayani penyediaan dan distribusi makanan bagi warga sekolah. Perancangan menekankan efisiensi organisasi ruang, kelancaran sirkulasi, serta penerapan konsep arsitektur modern yang responsif terhadap iklim tropis melalui optimalisasi pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami. Sementara itu, The Terracotta Manor merupakan rumah tinggal yang dirancang dengan konsep Modern European Townhouse, mengutamakan keseimbangan antara fungsi, estetika, dan kenyamanan hunian. Perancangan menerapkan prinsip desain pasif melalui optimalisasi pencahayaan alami, ventilasi silang, serta penggunaan material bernuansa natural yang membentuk karakter visual bangunan. Kedua proyek menunjukkan penerapan kompetensi arsitek dalam merumuskan konsep, memenuhi persyaratan teknis, mengintegrasikan berbagai disiplin ilmu, serta menghasilkan rancangan yang aman, nyaman, estetis, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna.

This report documents the application of architectural competencies through two architectural design projects: the Surabaya Sekolah Rakyat Kitchen and Canteen Building and The Terracotta Manor Residence. Both projects represent the implementation of the architectural design process in accordance with the Thirteen (13) Standards of Architectural Competency, covering the stages of analysis, concept development, and preparation of design documents. The Surabaya Sekolah Rakyat Kitchen and Canteen Building was designed as an educational support facility to accommodate food preparation and distribution for students, teachers, and school staff. The design emphasizes spatial efficiency, effective circulation, and the application of modern architectural principles that respond to the tropical climate through the optimization of natural lighting and ventilation. The second project, The Terracotta Manor Residence, is a private house designed with the Modern European Townhouse concept, focusing on the balance between functionality, aesthetics, and residential comfort. The design incorporates passive design strategies by optimizing natural daylight, cross ventilation, and the use of natural-toned materials to create a distinctive architectural character. These two projects demonstrate the application of architectural competencies in developing design concepts, meeting technical requirements, integrating multidisciplinary aspects, and producing architectural designs that are safe, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and responsive to users' needs.
