Abstract
Kinerja katup kontrol dievaluasi melalui kapasitas aliran (flow capacity) yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh sifat fisik air seperti densitas dan viskositas dinamik. Asumsi bahwa properti air bernilai konstan dapat menimbulkan ketidakakuratan dalam evaluasi performa katup, terutama ketika instalasi dilakukan pada konfigurasi perpipaan non-ideal. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem pengukuran temperatur untuk memperoleh properti air secara real-time guna meningkatkan akurasi perhitungan kapasitas aliran pada globe valve ½ inci yang terpasang pada pipa 1 inci. Data temperatur, tekanan, dan laju aliran diakuisisi menggunakan mikrokontroler Arduino Uno, kemudian diolah berdasarkan formulasi standar ANSI/ISA 75.02.01-2008. Seluruh data pengujian dan hasil perhitungan divisualisasikan melalui antarmuka LabVIEW. Penelitian ini diharapkan menghasilkan model evaluasi kinerja katup yang lebih akurat serta merepresentasikan kondisi operasional lapangan yang tidak selalu memenuhi konfigurasi instalasi standar.

The performance of control valves is evaluated through flow capacity, which is strongly influenced by physical properties of water such as density and dynamic viscosity. The assumption that water properties remain constant may lead to inaccuracies in valve performance evaluation, especially when the valve is installed in non-ideal piping configurations. This study develops a temperature measurement system to obtain water properties in real time in order to improve the accuracy of flow capacity calculations on a ½-inch globe valve installed in a 1 inch piping system. Temperature, pressure, and flow rate data are acquired using an Arduino Uno microcontroller and processed based on the ANSI/ISA-75.02.01-2008 standard formulation. All measurement data and calculation results are visualized through a LabVIEW interface. This research is expected to produce a valve performance evaluation model that is more accurate and representative of actual field operating conditions, which do not always comply with standard installation configurations.
