Abstract
Proyek Perancangan Gedung Ibadah & Klinik dan Rumah Tinggal Extension Shammie House ini mempresentasikan dua pendekatan arsitektur yang berbeda dalam menjawab kebutuhan pengguna, fungsi, konteks, material, dan karakter bangunan. Penerapan 13 standar kompetensi Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI) menjadi dasar dalam proses perancangan ini, mulai dari analisis kebutuhan pengguna, penyusunan program ruang, aspek teknis, material, hingga pertimbangan lingkungan dan estetika. Gedung Ibadah dan Klinik di kawasan Sekolah Rakyat Jombang dirancang sebagai fasilitas pendukung aktivitas sehari-hari bagi guru dan murid, baik dari segi rohani maupun dalam menjamin kesehatan dan keselamatannya. Pendekatan arsitektur modern yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan arsitektur tradisional Islam menjadi konsep utama dalam proyek di kawasan Sekolah Rakyat ini, sementara karakter Jombang sebagai kota "santri" dikembangkan menjadi sebuah konsep arsitektur yang berkarakter. Sementara itu, Proyek Extension Shammie House di Bandung memiliki pendekatan yang berbeda. Dengan tetap mempertahankan arsitektur modern sebagai pendekatan dasar, konteks lingkungan menjadi hal utama dalam perancangan proyek ini. Kondisi kontur yang begitu curam, dikelilingi pepohonan dan udara segar Kota Bandung, membuat bentuk bangunan dirancang seolah ringan secara visual dengan bentuk geometris sederhana serta dominasi material alami, sehingga terasa lebih menyatu dengan lingkungan sekitar.

The Place of Worship and Clinic and Shammie House Extension projects present two different architectural approaches in responding to users' needs, building functions, site context, material selection, and architectural character. The design process follows the 13 Competency Standards of the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI), covering user analysis, space programming, technical considerations, material selection, environmental aspects, and aesthetic values. The Place of Worship and Clinic, located within the Sekolah Rakyat area in Jombang, was designed to support the daily activities of teachers and students by providing facilities that accommodate both spiritual and healthcare needs. The project applies a Modern Architecture approach combined with Traditional Islamic Architecture as its main design concept. In addition, Jombang's identity as the "City of Santri" became an important consideration in developing an architectural design that reflects the local character and cultural values of the area. In contrast, the Shammie House Extension project in Bandung adopts a different design approach. Although Modern Architecture remains the main architectural language, the surrounding site context became the primary consideration throughout the design process. The steep topography, abundant vegetation, and cool climate of Bandung influenced the building form, which was designed to appear visually light through the use of simple geometric forms and natural materials. This approach allows the building to blend more naturally with its surrounding environment while maintaining its contemporary architectural identity.
