Abstract

Akurasi dan konsistensi merupakan faktor penting dalam industri manufaktur untuk menjaga kualitas produk dan efisiensi produksi. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan terhadap sistem penakaran material dengan berat target 200 kg, masih ditemukan penyimpangan pada hasil penakaran, yaitu kondisi underweight dan overweight. Penyimpangan tersebut dapat menyebabkan penggunaan material menjadi tidak efisien serta menurunkan stabilitas proses produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan performa sistem kontrol on-off pada proses penakaran material dengan menerapkan strategi Two Stage Filling berbasis metode Fuzzy Logic Sugeno. Strategi yang dikembangkan menerapkan dua tahap pengisian, yaitu fast filling dan fine filling, untuk meminimalkan kesalahan penakaran yang disebabkan oleh karakteristik sistem kontrol on-off konvensional yang hanya beroperasi pada kondisi aktuator terbuka penuh atau tertutup penuh. Pada tahap fast filling, material dialirkan hingga mendekati berat target, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tahap fine filling untuk mencapai berat akhir dengan presisi yang lebih tinggi. Metode Fuzzy Logic Sugeno diterapkan pada tahap fine filling untuk menentukan durasi pembukaan aktuator berdasarkan weight error dan laju aliran material yang diperoleh selama proses fast filling. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi Two Stage Filling berbasis Fuzzy Logic Sugeno mampu meningkatkan performa sistem penakaran dibandingkan dengan metode kontrol on-off konvensional. Sistem kontrol on-off konvensional menghasilkan akurasi penakaran sebesar 95,85%, dengan standar deviasi sebesar 49,08 g dan nilai Coefficient of Variation (CV) sebesar 1,18%. Setelah diterapkan strategi Two Stage Filling berbasis Fuzzy Logic Sugeno, akurasi sistem meningkat menjadi 99,18%, sedangkan standar deviasi menurun menjadi 39,95 g dan nilai Coefficient of Variation (CV) menurun menjadi 1,00%. Penurunan nilai standar deviasi dan CV menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu menghasilkan proses penakaran material yang lebih akurat, stabil dan konsisten.

Accuracy and consistency are essential factors in manufacturing industries to maintain product quality and production efficiency. Based on observations of a material weighing system with a target weight of 200 kg, deviations in the weighing results were still observed, including both underweight and overweight conditions. These deviations can lead to inefficient material usage and reduced production process stability. This study aims to improve the performance of a conventional on-off control system in a material weighing process by implementing a Two Stage Filling strategy based on the Sugeno Fuzzy Logic method. The proposed strategy consists of two filling stages, namely fast filling and fine filling, to minimize weighing errors caused by the characteristics of conventional on-off control, which operates only in fully open or fully closed actuator states. During the fast filling stage, material is discharged until it approaches the target weight, followed by the fine filling stage to achieve the final target weight with higher precision. The Sugeno Fuzzy Logic method is applied during the fine filling stage to determine the actuator opening duration based on the weight error and the material flow rate obtained during the fast filling process. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed Two Stage Filling strategy based on Sugeno Fuzzy Logic significantly improves the performance of the weighing system compared with the conventional on-off control method. The conventional on-off control system achieved a weighing accuracy of 95.85%, with a standard deviation of 49.08 g and a Coefficient of Variation (CV) of 1.18%. After implementing the proposed Two Stage Filling strategy, the weighing accuracy increased to 99.18%, while the standard deviation decreased to 39.95 g and the Coefficient of Variation (CV) decreased to 1.00%. The reduction in the standard deviation and CV indicates that the proposed system provides a more stable and consistent weighing process.
