Abstract

Semakin maju dan berkembangnya persaingan di dunia industri sabun dan deterjen menyebabkan perlu dilakukannya beberapa efisiensi guna meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan. Salah satu efisiensi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan cara meminimalkan biaya pemindahan barang dari gudang menuju plant dan sebaliknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari jumlah rate masing-masing perjalanan truk dengan fungsi tujuan untuk meminimalkan biaya pemindahan barang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Integer Linear Programming dengan fungsi kendala berupa jam kerja truk, demand bahan baku, demand barang jadi, ketersediaan barang di gudang bahan baku padat, dan penyeimbangan penggunaan truk. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pengolahan data, dengan adanya pengoptimalan pemindahan barang di PT RST akan dapat menghemat biaya pemindahan material sebesar 8%.

Due to the fast-growing competition in the soap and detergent industry, industry players are forced to take several efficiency initiatives to improve the company's competitive advantage. One of the efficiency measures is minimizing material handling costs from the warehouse to the plant and vice versa. The aim of this research is to determine the number of truck trips with the objective function of minimizing material handling costs. Integer Linear Programming is used to determine the number of truck trips. The objective function is restricted by constraints such as truck working hours, raw material demand, finished goods demand, raw material availability at the raw material warehouse, and truck utilization balancing. According to the data analysis, optimization of the material handling process at PT RST will reduce material handling costs by 8%.
