Abstract

In this era of globalization, numerous suppliers offer drilling materials from various sources, including products from China with various brands and products from former Soviet Union countries that compete with products from the United States, which currently dominates the Indonesian market. Drilling materials are generally expensive and must meet strict specifications because of the significant risks that may arise if poor-quality materials are used in oil and gas well drilling operations. Considering the strict material specifications and the large number of suppliers offering products from various brands, Pertamina is required to be selective in choosing suppliers by considering several aspects, including product quality, price, delivery, and supply assurance. The supplier's supply chain, consisting of distributors or manufacturers located overseas, as well as the conditions of the producing countries, significantly influence product quality, price, delivery, and supply assurance. This research analyzes supplier supply chain factors and determines the weights of suppliers and their supply chains using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The objective is to support appropriate supplier selection so that materials meeting the required specifications can be obtained at relatively economical prices, thereby supporting safe, efficient, and effective oil and gas well drilling operations.
