Abstract

In the current industrial era, many companies conduct their business processes using various strategies to compete in the market. One of the strategies that has become increasingly prominent is Supply Chain Management (SCM). SCM is expected to improve total cycle time. To achieve this objective, the supply chain must be properly integrated. Supply chain integration relies on fast and accurate information sharing among suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and end customers. To achieve this integration, the implementation of e-Supply Chain Management (e-SCM) is required. One component of e-SCM is the e-Order Processing System (e-OPS). This thesis aims to design an e-OPS for wholesalers, manufacturers, 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers, and transporters. The design begins by analyzing the information that needs to be shared based on the existing order processing activities. Subsequently, using the Data Flow Diagram (DFD) approach, the e-OPS process is designed as the basis for developing a web-based system. The e-OPS provides several benefits, including enabling wholesalers to conduct forecasting, allowing manufacturers to obtain stock information from various wholesalers, enabling manufacturers to identify goods rejected by wholesalers along with the reasons for rejection, allowing 3PL providers to determine the appropriate type of vehicle based on the quantity of goods to be delivered, and enabling transporters to prepare vehicles quickly. The implementation of e-OPS is expected to make order processing more effective. The system facilitates information sharing among various entities involved in the supply chain, allowing problems to be addressed quickly and accurately.
