Abstract

Proyek tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang fasilitas pabrik kayu yang menggunakan konsep dari hedonistic sustainibility yang membuat rancangan yang tidak hanya baik untuk lingkungan, akan tetapi juga dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat yang ada.
Proyek ini dilakukan untuk refunctioning bangunan pabrik PT Muroco yang berlokasi di Kota Jember, dengan potensi konteks dan kultural yang ada, hal ini menjadi potensi desain dengan menggunakan deductive method dan problem solving (iteration method). Proyek ini menggunakan narasi untuk menciptakan konsep desain yang menjadi kriteria dalam membentuk desain
arsitektural.
Proyek ini bertujuan untuk merancang pabrik PT Muroco yang difungsikan kembali menjadi multi-funcitonal space yang dimana masyarakat dapat berekreasi serta belajar mengenai pentingnya keberlanjutan yang terdapat pada prinsip hedonistic sustainbility. Desain diarahkan untuk menciptakan ruang yang tidak hanya fungsional terhadap efektivitas kerja pabrik,akan tetapi dapat menjadi ikon kota yang menunjukkan potensi arsitektural yang dapat mengubah desain yang tidak hanya fungsional melainkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat tersebut. Hasil akhir diharapkan menjadi model
hedonistic sustainbility yang inovatif dan dapat diterapkan di Indonesia.

This final project aims to design a wood factory facility based on the concept of "hedonistic sustainability"—creating a design that is not only environmentally beneficial but also enhances the quality of life for the local community.
The project involves the refunctioning of the PT Muroco factory building in Jember City. Leveraging the site's existing contextual and cultural potential, the design process employs deductive and problem-solving (iterative) methods. The project seeks to transform the PT Muroco factory into a multifunctional space where the community can engage in recreation and learn about the importance of sustainability—specifically the principles of hedonistic
sustainability. The design aims to create a space that balances operational efficiency with the potential to become a city landmark, demonstrating an architectural approach that transcends mere functionality to actively improve
the community's quality of life. Ultimately, the project aspires to serve as an innovative model of hedonistic sustainability applicable within the Indonesian context.
