Abstract

Electric bicycle are found in market at this time still use the PWM (Pulse with Modulation) circuit to drive de motor with open loop circuit method. The weakness of this system, if there is internal or external trouble, the open loop circuit control system can't work maximum. In order to get the speed/torque control better in this research is designed a fuzzy logic based on microcontroller to control speed/torque de motor on electric bicycle. With microcontroller MC68HC11G5 that consist of A/D Converter, PWM Generator and memory, so the microcontroller can work it self that change the function of fuzzy logic control that are able to eliminate the use external components. As a variable input control is the speed/torque error de motor and varieties error that form linguistic variable or fuzzy set then define membership function and their rule base. Through the fuzzification and defuzzification from the controller find the output variable. The PWM Duty cycle 8% variation which is produced the microcontroller to control motor voltage through motor drive circuit. According to the measurement and observation, the implementation of fuzzy logic control as a speed control on electric bicycle that used microcontroller is appropriate for constantly load, but in order hand for unconstantly load will appropriate use torque control, cause of variable load are able to change torque setting.
