Abstract

Dengan adanya suatu teknologi yang dinamakan Sistem Informasi Geografis, maka sangat berpengaruh terhadap kemudahan seseorang, baik individu maupun secara kelompok, untuk mendapatkan suatu informasi yang mudah, cepat, dan tentunya up to date. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan cara mengambil data-data mengenai plaza, ruko, dan pasar tradisional, serta data mengenai statistik penduduk Kota Surabaya. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini yaitu pembangunan pasar di wilayah Kecamatan Sukolilo, Gubeng, dan Wonokromo kurang merata dan tidak tepat sasaran, serta masih ada 7 dari 12 pasar yang belum mematuhi peraturan RTRW Kota Surabaya. Pada analisis ruko, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa dari tiga kecamatan, kecamatan yang paling banyak memiliki ruko adalah Kecamatan Sukolilo, dan masih ada 7 dari 10 ruko yang belum sesuai dengan RTRW Kota Surabaya. Pada analisis plaza, berdasarkan beberapa hal, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pembangunan plaza di kawasan Kecamatan Wonokromo telah sesuai dengan RTRW Kota Surabaya.

With the existence of a technology called a Geographical Information System, it has a significant effect on making it easier for individuals and groups to obtain information that is easy to access, quick, and, of course, up to date.
This research is carried out by collecting data concerning public squares, traditional markets, and shop houses (ruko), as well as statistical data concerning the population of Surabaya City. The results of this research show that market development in the subdistricts of Sukolilo, Gubeng, and Wonokromo is uneven and not properly targeted, and that 7 out of 12 markets still do not comply with the Spatial Planning Regulations (RTRW) of Surabaya City. From the analysis of shop houses (ruko), it can be concluded that, among the three subdistricts, Sukolilo has the highest number of shop houses, and 7 out of 10 still do not comply with the RTRW of Surabaya City. Based on several considerations in the analysis of public squares, it can be concluded that the development of public squares in the Wonokromo subdistrict is in accordance with the RTRW of Surabaya City.
