Abstract

Semburan Lumpur Lapindo yang terjadi di Kecamatan Porong, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, yang kemudian dialirkan di Kali Porong yang bermuara di Selat Madura akan berpengaruh terhadap kondisi perairan di Selat Madura. Salah satunya Muatan Padatan Tersuspensi (TSM). Maka, diperlukan pemantauan perubahan Muatan Padatan Tersuspensi (TSM) di Selat Madura tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan data citra ASTER Selat Madura tahun 2005, 2006, 2007, dan 2008. Metode yang digunakan adalah mengonversi nilai Digital Number ke dalam bentuk reflektan dan memasukkan algoritma Syarief Budhiman sehingga nilai Muatan Padatan Tersuspensi (TSM) dapat diketahui. Kemudian, tahap selanjutnya adalah tahap klasifikasi, di mana Muatan Padatan Tersuspensi (TSM) tersebut terbagi dalam beberapa kelas yang tersebar di perairan Selat Madura, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, dan Pasuruan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perubahan muatan padatan tersuspensi (TSM) akibat pembuangan Lumpur Lapindo di Selat Madura sangat bervariatif, di mana dari tahun 2005 sampai tahun 2008 nilai Muatan Padatan Tersuspensi (TSM) terjadi penambahan dan penurunan dalam setiap kelasnya. Pada kelas 0–25 mg/l mengalami kenaikan dari 5.029,350 Ha menjadi 16.405,166 Ha, kelas 25–50 mg/l mengalami penurunan dari 13.236,863 Ha menjadi 12.461,497 Ha, kelas 50–75 mg/l mengalami kenaikan dari 18.242,147 Ha menjadi 23.082,983 Ha, kelas 75–100 mg/l mengalami penurunan dari 14.696,356 Ha menjadi 2.256,934 Ha. Sedangkan kelas >100 mg/l mengalami penurunan dari 5.326,725 Ha menjadi 1.066,536 Ha. Dari uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara data citra dengan dua pengambilan data lapangan yang diambil dalam waktu yang berbeda mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan, yaitu R² = 52,1% pada pengambilan data pertama dan R² = 57,8% pada pengambilan data yang kedua, sedangkan untuk nilai RMS rata-rata sebesar 0,274 dan RMS total sebesar 3,286.

The Lapindo's mud flood happened in Porong, Sidoarjo. This mud streamed into the Porong River, which flows downstream to the Madura Strait, and will affect the water condition there. One of these effects is Total Suspended Matter (TSM). Therefore, supervision of the Total Suspended Matter in the Madura Strait is needed. Madura Strait ASTER images are used in this research. The method used in this research is converting the Digital Number values into reflectance values and applying the Syarief Budhiman algorithm so that the value of Total Suspended Matter can be determined. The next step is classification, where the Total Suspended Matter is divided into several classes that are distributed across the Madura Strait, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Pasuruan. The results of this research showed that the Total Suspended Matter changed due to the disposal of Lapindo's mud in the Madura Strait. From 2005 to 2008, the value of Total Suspended Matter increased and decreased in each class. In the 0–25 mg/l class, it increased from 5,029.350 Ha to 16,405.166 Ha; in the 25–50 mg/l class, it decreased from 13,236.863 Ha to 1,261.497 Ha; in the 50–75 mg/l class, it increased from 18,242.147 Ha to 23,082.983 Ha; in the 75–100 mg/l class, it decreased from 14,696.356 Ha to 2,256.934 Ha; and in the >100 mg/l class, it decreased from 5,326.725 Ha to 1,066.536 Ha. The statistical test showed that the correlations between the image data and the two sets of field data collected at different times were significant, with R² = 52.1% for the first sample and R² = 57.8% for the second sample. The average RMS value was 0.274, and the total RMS value was 3.286.
