Abstract

Didalam tugas akhir ini akan dianalisa sistem coating (pengecatan) yang akan dilakukan pada sebuah kapal, sehingga diharapkan sistem coating ini mampu bekerja secara maksimal mengurangi terjadinya korosi pada plat lambung kapal. Untuk dapat mengetahui sistem coating yang tepat maka perlu adanya proses perbandingan antara berbagai metode coating yaitu metode airless spray, metode roll, dan metode kuas (brush) dengan 2 jenis (merk) cat yang digunakan untuk 2 bagian lambung kapal yaitu bagian bottom - bottop dan bagian topside. Disini juga akan dibahas macam-macam biaya dalam proses hull coating, diantaranya biaya langsung dan biaya tidak langsung. Biaya langsung terdiri atas biaya persiapan material, biaya material, dan biaya tenaga kerja. Sedangkan biaya tidak langsung berupa biaya-biaya overhead yang besarnya dinyatakan dalam persentase dari jumlah total biaya langsung. Dengan membandingkan ketiga metode coating dapat diketahui bahwa metode yang paling sesuai secara teknis dan ekonomis adalah metode airless spray.

In this final project will be analysed system of coating (painting) to be conducted at a ship, so expected this coating system can work maximally to reduce corrosion occure at ship hull plate. To know the proper system of coating, hence it need comparation processes among various methods of coating, they are method of airless spray, method of roll, and brush method by 2 different type of paint (merk) which used for 2 parts of (bounce up) ship hull, bottom - bottop part and topside part. Here also will be studied kinds of expense which involve in course of coating hull, among of them are direct cost and indirect expenses. Direct cost composed by preparation of material, expense of material expence, and labour cost. While indirect expenses in the form of overhead expense which the level expressed in percentage from total amount of direct cost. With comparation among methods of coating can be determined that airless spray method is the most suitable method than the other method, both technically and economically analysis.
