Abstract

Timbulnya permasalahan yang mengganggu kenyamanan tinggal mempengaruhi kualitas penghuninya. Permasalahan tersebut tampak secara fisik pada Blok 69 Rumah Susun Menanggal Surabaya. Permasalahan yang terjadi antara lain air bersih yang tidak mencukupi kebutuhan penghuni, terjadinya kebocoran pada pipa distribusi air bersih, bau yang tidak sedap dan WC yang sulit digelontor, serta bau yang tidak sedap akibat sampah yang terlambat diangkut oleh petugas. Hal yang dilakukan untuk menganalisis sistem sanitasi yaitu mengetahui rata-rata pemakaian air bersih per orang per hari, menghitung kapasitas roof tank, diameter pipa distribusi air bersih, air buangan dan vent serta menghitung jumlah timbulan sampah per hari serta sistem pengangkutan sampahnya. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem sanitasi Blok 69 Rumah Susun Menanggal sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah. Walaupun begitu, ada beberapa permasalahan yang membutuhkan penanganan. Dari hasil analisis juga dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk mengantisipasi kebocoran sebaiknya mengganti pipa yang bocor sesuai dengan diameter yang dibutuhkan. Pengurasan tangki septik sebaiknya setiap 5 tahun sekali. Sampah diangkut setiap mengambil sampah tiga kali per hari.

The problems of the performance of a residence will influence the quality of the inhabitants of the residence. The performance problem of the residence happens in the Block 69 of the Menanggal flat, Surabaya. The problems are insufficient amount of clean water, leakage on the clean water distribution, bad smell, some water closets could not be flushed well, and bad smell at the temporary garbage storage. Therefore, an evaluation on the sanitation system on this flat is imperative. This final project will evaluate the sanitation system in this flat. The analysis includes clean water usage for inhabitants per day, roof tank capacity, plumbing system, the rate of garbage production, and the system of garbage transportation. The results of the analysis show that the sanitation system of Block 69 of the flat follows the government regulation. However, there are some problems that need to be solved. There are some leaking pipes that need to be replaced. The septic tank needs to be cleaned up every 5 years. The garbage must be collected and transported three times per day.
