Abstract

Pipa bawah laut (Pipeline) adalah salah satu fasilitas yang memegang peranan
penting dalam siklus distribusi minyak dan gas bumi di Indonesia. Penggunaan
pipa bawah laut terbukti menjadi infrastruktur transportasi jarak jauh minyak dan
gas bumi yang paling efisien karena bisa bekerja selama 24 jam sehari tanpa henti
dan tidak terkendala oleh cuaca.. Banyak masalah yang muncul pada sistem
perpipaan bawah laut, seperti stabilitas pipa saat terkena beban – beban
hidrodinamis atau fenomena scouring yang dapat menimbulkan bentangan bebas
(freespan) pada pipa yang bisa mengakibatkan defleksi pada pipa. Penelitian ini
membahas perihal bagaimana stabilitas pipa bawah laut baik secara vertikal
maupun lateral dan berapa kedalaman serta lebar scouring yang terjadi di
sepanjang jalur pipa bawah laut. Berdasarkan hasil analisa stabilitas pipa bawah
laut didapat nilai pada perairan dalam maupun transisi sebesar 1,86 dan nilai
pada perairan transisi sebesar 5,8 dan sebesar 4,95 pada perairan dalam. Dari
hasil perhitungan tersebut pipa bawah laut dapat dikatakan stabil secara vertikal
maupun lateral karena nilainya lebih besar dari safety factor sebesar 1,1
sebagaimana disyaratkan oleh code DNV RP E305. Fenomena gerusan lokal
(scouring) juga terjadi pada jalur pipa bawah laut ini. Berdasarkan analisa
didapatkan estimasi kedalaman lubang scour maksimum sebesar 0,54 m dan
estimasi lebar lubang scour maksimum sebesar 3,87 m.

Underwater pipeline is one of the facilities that held important role on oil and gas
distribution cycle in Indonesia. The usages of underwater pipeline are proven to
be the most efficient long haul transportation structure, because of the ability to
work 24 hours nonstop even in a heavy rain. There are lots of problems spawning
on underground pipeline such as pipeline stability due to hydrodynamics load, or
scouring phenomena which could lead to freespan, continuing to pipeline
deflection. This experiments discussed about underwater pipeline stability in
vertical and lateral form, and also the width and depth of scouring which happens
nearby the pipeline. Based on the results of underwater pipeline stability analysis,
the value of SFv in deep water and intermediate water is 1.86 and the value of SFl
in intermediate water is 5.85 and 4.95 in deep water. Based on those calculations
underwater pipeline can be considered stable vertically or laterally, assuming their
amount are greater than safety factor, valued 1.1 according to DNV RP E305.
Scouring phenomena are also happened on this underwater pipeline. Based on the
analysis, the estimated depth of scour maximum is valued at 0.54 m and
estimated scour length maximum valued at 3.87 m.
