Abstract

Terumbu karang buatan adalah sebuah bangunan yang sengaja ditenggelamkan untuk mengatasi masalah kerusakan terumbu karang dan juga sekaligus difungsikan sebagai peredam energi gelombang. Terkait dengan fungsinya sebagai peredam gelombang, maka perlu dilakukan analisa stabilitas untuk mengetahui nilai koefisien stabilitas (Kᴅ). Berat jenis relatif ( = r/a - 1) model digunakan untuk analisa pengujian.
Penelitian uji model fisik 2 dimensi dilakukan di Laboratorium Lingkungan dan Energi Laut, Jurusan Teknik Kelautan, Fakultas Teknologi Kelautan, ITS Surabaya. Skala model yang digunakan 1:10 dan diuji menggunakan gelombang regular dengan lima variasi tinggi gelombang (H), tiga periode gelombang (T) serta tiga variasi berat model (Wr).
Parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah bilangan stabilitas (Hi/ΔDn), kecuraman gelombang (H/gT²) dan kedalaman air relatif (d/Hi). Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa nilai koefisien stabilitas (Kᴅ) akan berbanding lurus dengan nilai bilangan stabilitas dan kecuraman gelombang, sedangkan untuk kedalaman air relatif nilainya berbanding terbalik dengan koefisien stabilitas. Nilai rerata Kᴅ untuk model Hexa1 (Δ = 0.379) sebesar 14.13, Hexa2 (Δ = 0.591) = 3.69 dan Hexa3 (Δ = 0.656) = 1.68. Nilai Koefisien stabilitas menurun dengan meningkatnya nilai berat jenis relatif.

Artificial reef is a structure that deliberately sunk to overcome the problem of coral reef’s damage and also served as wave energy absorbers. Related to its function as a wave reducer, it is necessary to analize its stability to determine the value of the coefficient of stability (Kᴅ). This research use relative specific gravity ( = r/a - 1) of Hexagonal models for reef stability testing.
Two dimensional physical model test take place on The Environmental and Ocean Energy Laboratory of Ocean Engineering Department, Faculty of Marine Technology, ITS Surabaya. The model-scale was 1:10 and tested using regular wave, with five variations of wave height (H), three period wave (T) and three variations of model weight (Wr).
The parameters used in test is stability number (Hi/ΔDn), wave steepness (Hi/gT2) and relative water depth (d/Hi). The result showed that the coefficient of stability (Kᴅ) directly proportional to the stability number and wave steepness, while the relative water depth value is inversely proportional to the coefficient of stability. The average value of coefficient stability for the model Hexa1 (Δ = 0.379) = 14.13, Hexa2 (Δ = 0.591) = 3.69, and Hexa3 (Δ = 0.656) = 1.68. The Kᴅ values decrease with increasing specific gravity. Higher value of relative specific gravity result in stable artificial reef.
