Abstract
Debutanizer merupakan kolom distilasi yang digunakan pada unit fraksinasi LPG untuk mendapatkan butane dan senyawa naptha. di dalam plant debutanizer terdapat beberapa komponen pendukung seperti condenser, reboiler dan reflux khususnya pada Condenser merupakan tempat untuk mendinginkan atau mengkondensasi uap yang meninggalkan bagian atas kolom distilasi. Dan pada Condenser terdapat sebuah single loop kontrol (LIC001) yang fungsinya menjaga level air agar tetap seimbang. Sehingga pada kontrol LIC001 dijadikan sebagai analisa penelitian dalam Perancangan pengendali dengan metode PID-DA (Duelist Algoritma) yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan respon yang lebih baik sesuai dengan kriteria performansi sistem pengendalian. Analisa dilakukan dengan membandingkan metode Tuning yaitu Ziegler Nichols, Software tuning DCS TuneVP dengan PID-DA. Performansi yang dijadikan pembanding adalah nilai IAE, Rise time, dan maksimum Overshoot. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan PID-DA memiliki nilai performansi yang lebih baik dari pada PID-ZN dan PID-TuneVP. Parameter pengendali PID-DA didapatkan yakni besar settling time = 11 Menit, IAE = 0.5, serta maximum overshoot = 1,1%.

Debutanizer is a distillation column used on LPG fractionation unit to get butane and naphtha compound. in plant debutanizer there are several supporting components such as condenser, reboiler and reflux. Condenser especially at a place to cool or condenser the vapor leaving the top of the distillation column. And the condenser there is a single loop control (LIC 001) whose function is to maintain the water level in order to stay balanced. So that the control LIC001 be used as a research analysis in the design of controller with PID-DA method (Duelist Algorithm) That aims to generate a better response in accordance with control system performance criteria. Anlysys conducted by comparing several methods that is Ziegler Nichols Tuning, Software tuning DCS TuneVP and PID-DA. Performance is used as the comparison are the value of IAE, Rise time, and maximum Overshoot. based on the results of experiments PID-DA has better performance than PID-ZN and PID-TuneVP. The obtained control parameters of the PID-DA controller are, settling time = 11 Minutes, IAE = 0.5, as well as the maximum overshoot = 1.1%.
