Abstract
Bandara Juanda merencanakan untuk membangun runway 2 disisi timur terminal 2. Posisi runway dan gedung terminal perlu direncanakan agar tidak termasuk wilayah Kawasan Keselamatan Operasi Penerbangan (KKOP) dari runway 1 yang sudah ada.
Kawasan Keselamatan Operasi Penerbangan adalah wilayah daratan dan/atau perairan dan ruang udara di sekitar bandar udara yang dipergunakan untuk kegiatan operasi penerbangan dalam rangka menjamin keselamatan penerbangan.
Pada KKOP tidak dibenarkan adanya bangunan atau benda tumbuh, baik yang tetap (fixed) maupun dapat berpindah (mobile), yang lebih tinggi dari batas ketinggian yang diperkenankan sesuai dengan Aerodrome Reference Code (Kode Referensi Landas Pacu) dan Runway Classification (Klasifikasi Landas Pacu) dari suatu bandar udara.
KKOP suatu bandara merupakan kawasan yang relatif sangat luas, mulai dari pinggir landas pacu yang disebut runway strip membentang sampai radius 15 km dari ARP dengan ketinggian berbeda – beda sampai 145 m relatif terhadap AES.
Kawasan permukaan yang paling kritis terhadap adanya halangan (obstacle) adalah Kawasan Pendekatan dan Lepas landas (approach and take off), Kawasan Kemungkinan Bahaya Kecelakaan, Kawasan di Bawah Permukaan Transisi, dan Kawasan di Bawah Permukaan Horizontal Dalam. Dalam
penentuan lokasi untuk runway 2, akan dilakukan juga evaluasi kebisingan pesawat terhadap wilayah di sekitar bandara juanda.
Kebisingan yang dikeluarkan oleh mesin pesawat dapat
mengganggu aktivitas wilayah disekitarnya dalam jangka waktu panjang. Keperluan lahan untuk peletakan navigasi juga menjadi salah satu pertimbangan. Pertimbangan lain adalah berkaitan dengan aksesibilitas dari terminal yang sudah ada. Informasi perkiraan lokasi runway 2 ini akan membantu pihak perencana bandara dalam mempersiapkan disain struktur landasan dan bangunan lain di area Timur bandara yang ada, dimana untuk lokasi runway 2 Bandara Juanda adalah 7°20'57.8"S 112°51'05.7"E.

Juanda Airport is planning to build a second runway at
the eastern side terminal 2. The position of the runway and the terminal building need to be planned so as not including the Flight Operations Safety Zone (KKOP) of runway one that already exists.
Regional Operations Flight Safety is the area of land
and / or water and air space around airports used for the flight operations in order to ensure flight safety.
In KKOP not justified their buildings or objects grow,

In determining the location for the runway 2, will be also evaluation of aircraft noise to the area surrounding the airport juanda. Noise released by aircraft engines can disrupt the activity of the surrounding area in the long term. Land for the purposes of laying navigation is also becoming one of the considerations. Another consideration is related to the accessibility of the existing terminal. Information approximate location of this second runway will help the airport planners in preparing the design of foundation structures and other buildings in the Eastern area of the airport there. And for the second runway location Juanda Airport is 7°20'57.8"S 112°51'05.7"E.
