Abstract

Transmisi daya di PLN melalui gardu - gardu membutuhkan
dukungan telekomunikasi. Telekomunikasi dibutuhkan untuk
menghubungkan antar sensor, kendali, dan SCADA. Sistem yang
sekarang terpasang dianggap belum memenuhi SLA (Service Level
Agreement).
guna memperbaiki kinerja sistem jaringan existing.
Perancangan jaringan baru dilakukan dengan pengujian drop
jaringan secara bergantian disetiap link pada jaringan existing. Kondisi
ini guna mengetahui performansi jaringan keseluruhan jika terjadi
kemungkinan drop disetiap link tertentu. Link kritis dan biaya ditinjau
dari delay link berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari pengujian jaringan
drop bergantian dijadikan acuan untuk pembentukan link pada jaringan
baru. Simulasi jaringan dirancang dengan network simulator versi 2
(NS2).
Performansi dari jaringan baru dievaluasi dan dibandingkan
dengan jaringan existing. Jumlah link kritis pada jaringan existing
sebanyak 8 link sedangkan jaringan baru tidak memiliki link kritis.
Jumlah link alternatif pada jaringan existing sebanyak 16 link
sedangkan jaringan baru 23 link. Meninjau hasil pengujian contoh
kasus, rata-rata nilai availability selama 3 bulan peninjauan pada
jaringan existing yaitu 94,98% sedangkan jaringan baru sebesar 97,23%.
Berdasarkan pengujian tersebut SLA pada jaringan baru menunjukan
performansi yang lebih baik dibandingkan jaringan existing sehingga
dilakukan rekomendasi jaringan.

Power transmission at PLN through the substation - substation
require telecommunications support. Telecommunications is required to
connect between sensors, control, and SCADA. The system is now
installed deemed not meet the SLA (Service Level Agreement). This
happens because the data in telecommunications networks where there
is a problem in the delivery process. The problem that occurred in this
case because of the disruption of fiber optics. This final project aims to
design a new network system to improve the performance of existing
network system.
The new network design is done by testing the network drop
alternately at every link in the existing network. This condition in order
to determine the overall network performance in case the possibility of a
drop in every particular link. Link critical and costs in terms of delay
link based on the results obtained from testing the network drop
alternately used as a reference for the establishment of a link on the new
network. Network simulation was designed with network simulator
version 2 (NS2).
The performance of the new network was evaluated and
compared with the existing network. Number of critical links in the
existing network by 8 link while the new network does not have the
critical link. Number of link existing alternative network link, while as
many as 16 new 23 network links. Reviewing the results of the test case,
the average value of availability during the 3-month review of the
existing network which is 94.98% and 97.23% of the new network. The
test is based on the SLA on a new network shows better performance
than the existing network so the network made recommendations.
