Abstract
Inconel (Nickel Base Super Alloy) 625 memiliki
ketangguhan dan ketahanan mulur yang tinggi, tahan terhadap
degradasi kimia pada temperatur mendekati temperatur leburnya..
Korosi batas butir dapat terjadi pada inconel 625 karena
kandungan kromium yang tinggi. Presipitasi karbida kromium
(Cr23C6) dapat dengan mudah terbentuk jika kandungan kromium
dan karbon tinggi. Karakterisasi material yang dilakukan adalah
SEM (Scaning Electron Microscopy), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction)
dan mikroskop optik. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah
mensensitisasi pada temperatur 500, 600, 700, 800, dan 900 ˚C
selama 1 jam dan disentisasi pada temperatur 700 ˚C selama 9
dan 18 jam pendinginan furnace. Setelah spesimen berada pada
temperatur kamar, spesimen dicelupkan pada Fe2(SO4)3 + H2SO4
selama 120 jam (5 hari). Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa semua spesimen setelah disensitisasi memiliki senyawa
Cr23C6 berdasarkan hasil XRD dan berdasarkan foto struktur
mikro, serangan korosi batas butir meningkat seiring peningkatan
temperatur pada range 500 ˚C sampai 700 ˚C dan menurun pada
range 800 ˚C sampai 900 ˚C. Sedangkan waktu sensitisasi
menyebabkan serangan korosi batas butir meningkat pada range
waktu sensitisasi 1 jam sampai 9 jam dan menurun setelah
disensitisasi selama 18 jam.

Inconel (Nickel Base Super Alloy) 625 has toughness and
high creep resistance, resistance to chemical degradation at
temperatures approaching the melting temperature. Intergranular
corrosion of Inconel 625 can occur due to the high chromium
conten meet carbon and make chromium carbide precipitation
(Cr23C6), the inisiator of intergranular corrosion. Intergranular
corrosion will be more easily occur in inconel 625 weld overlay.
Material characterization is performed by SEM (Scanning
Electron Microscopy), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) and optical
microscopy. The treatments were sensitize at temperatures 500,
600, 700, 800, and 900 ° C for 1 h and at temperature 700 ° C for
9 and 18 hours of cooling furnace. After the specimen is at room
temperature, the specimen is immersed in Fe2(SO4)3 75% +
H2SO4 98% for 120 hours (5 days). The results showed that all
the specimens after sensitized having Cr23C6 compounds based on
the results of XRD and based on photo microstructure,
intergranular corrosion attack increases with increasing
temperature in the range 500 ° C to 700 ° C and decreases in the
range of 800 ° C to 900 ° C. While the time of sensitization causes
intergranular corrosion attack increases in sensitization time
range 1 hour to 9 hours and decreases after sensitized for 18 hours.
