Abstract

Masyarakat pesisir di Indonesia mendapatkan air tawar dengan
cara membeli. Sehingga mereka harus menyiapkan biaya untuk
membeli air tawar disamping biaya untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari.
Jika air payau yang terdapat pada mata air di rumah-rumah dapat
diubah menjadi air tawar, maka biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh
masyarakat pesisir akan menjadi lebih murah. Penelitian ini dititik
beratkan pada performansi alat destilasi penghasil air tawar
menggunakan sistem evaporasi uap tenaga surya dengan
menganalisa Intensitas matahari terhadap distribusi temperatur,
daya pada apparatus, sudut kemiringan panel dan effisiensi dari
apparatus. Analisa didapat menggunakan variabel manipulasi
pada sudut kemiringan apparatus (θ pada 20o, 21o, 22o, 23o san
24o) dan volume apparatus pada kondisi ½ penuh dan ¾ penuh.
Pada percobaan yang dilakukan, diperoleh hubungan antara
Intensitas Matahari dengan distribusi temperatur, daya evaporator
(Qnett), sudut kemiringan panel (θ) dan effisiensi evaporator (η)
dari panel apparatus mengalami fluktuasi dan mengalami titik
balik maksimum pada sudut 20o pada volume tube ½ penuh dan
¾ penuh. Pada sudut kemiringan 20o dengan volume tube ½
penuh dan temperatur lingkungan 36oC, diperoleh distribusi
temperatur pada kaca 49oC, temperatur udara 59oC dan
temperatur tube luar 67oC. Pada sudut kemiringan 20o dengan
volume tube ¾ penuh dan temperatur lingkungan 34oC, diperoleh
distribusi temperatur pada kaca 48oC, temperatur udara 60oC,
Temperatur tube luar 68oC. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan pada
sudut 20o dengan volume tube ½ penuh diperoleh hasil Intensitas
matahari sebesar 1603,497 watt/m2 sehingga diperoleh daya
evaporator sebesar 434,67 watt dan temperatur air pada tube
64,7oC dengan effisiensi evaporator 92% . Hasil perhitungan pada
sudut 20o dengan volume ¾ penuh diperoleh hasil Intensitas
matahari sebesar 1803,545 watt/m2 diperoleh daya evaporator
sebesar 498,48 watt dan temperatur air pada tube 65,37oC dengan
effisiensi evaporator 93%.

Coastal communities in Indonesia get fresh water by way of
purchase. So they have to prepare a cost to purchase in addition to
the cost of fresh water for daily needs. If the brackish water found
in springs in homes can be converted into fresh water, the costs
incurred by the coastal communities will becomes cheaper. This
research emphasis on the performance of the distillation
equipment producing fresh water using solar steam evaporation
system by analyzing the intensity of the sun on the temperature
distribution, power apparatus, panel tilt angle and the efficiency
of the apparatus. Analysis obtained using the variable
manipulation on the angle of the apparatus (θ at 20o, 21o, 22o, 23o
24o) and the volume of the apparatus on the condition of full ½
and ¾ full. In the experiment, the obtained relationship between
the intensity of the sun with the temperature distribution, power
the evaporator (Qnett), panel angle (θ) and evaporator efficiency
(η) of the apparatus panel has fluctuated and had a maximum
turning point at an angle of 20o to the tube ½ full volume and ¾
full. At the angle of 20o with the tube ½ full volume and ambient
temperature 36oC, the temperature distribution in the glass
obtained 49oC, 59oC air temperature and outdoor temperature
67oC tube. At the angle of 20o with volume tube ¾ full and 34oC
ambient temperature, the temperature distribution in the glass
obtained 48oC, 60oC air temperature, outside temperature 68oC
tube. Based on the calculation at an angle of 20o with the volume
of tube ½ full sun intensity results obtained by 1603.497 watt/m2
in order to obtain power of 434.67 watt and evaporator water
temperature at the evaporator tube 64,7oC with 92% efficiency.
The results of the calculation at an angle of 20o with the results
obtained volume ¾ full sun intensity at 1803.545 watt/m2 was
obtained at 498.48 watt power evaporators and the water
temperature at the evaporator tube 65,37oC with 93% efficiency.
