Abstract

Islanding is phenomenon when grid disconnected from distributed generation (DG) system, but DG still connected to the system and still continue transfer enegy to the load. This can cause problems such as power quality drops, equipment damage and hazards to workers. Anti-islanding is a method to detect the occurrence of islanding phenomenon so that DG stop flowing power to the load. However, there is a weakness in conventional anti-islanding methods, ie if islanding occurs and there is no difference in power value between power generated by DG with power absorbed by load then detection will fail. So that required method that can cover the weakness. In this final project will be simulated aggregation method of islanding detection based on active frequency shift and voltage amplitude variation. The use of the combined method aims to perform detection in both normal and special circumstances where there is no difference in power value between DG and load. The simulation results show that the detection zone of the method used for linear loads can work with a range of 0.9 lagging - 0.9 leading and 0.4 times nominal photovoltaic power - 2.5 times nominal photovoltaic power.
