Abstract
Arc flash merupakan suatu energi yang dihasilkan saat terjadi gangguan hubung singkat. Berdasarkan IEEE 1584 – 2004 yang membahas tentang bahaya arc flash pada sistem kelistrikan tegangan rendah dan tegangan menengah sebagai pedoman untuk menentukan jarak aman (flash protection boundary, FBD) dan besar nilai energi (Incident Energy) untuk menentuan jarak aman dan memberikan PPE yang sesuai berdasarkan besar energi saat terjadi gangguan hubung singkat. Incident energy saat terjadi gangguan dapat dihitung dengan menentukan bolted three phase fault current, sedangkan fault clearing time (FCT) merupakan waktu saat terjadinya gangguan hubung singkat berlangsung. Semakin cepat suatu fault clearing time besar incident energy saat terjadi gangguan akan semakin kecil. Fault clearing time dapat diperoleh dari rele merasakan gangguan dan memerintah Circuit Breaker (CB) untuk trip dan waktu CB saat bekerja. Dengan melakuakan resetting koordinasi proteksi arus lebih fasa dapat mengurangi incident energy pada bus – bus yang terpadapat pada tipikal 1A dan tipikal 1B dan tipikal 2A dan tipikal 2B. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi koordinasi proteksi arus lebih fasa yang dilakukan pada tipikal 1A dan tipikal 1B menghasilkan incident energy yang terbesar terdapat pada bus 10BBT01-03 dan bus 20BBT01-02 dengan nilai 60,09 cal/cm2 dalam keadaan existing kemudian setelah dilakukan resetting nilainya turun menjadi 33,05 cal/cm2. Pada tipikal 2A dan tipikal 2B nilai incident energy terbesar terletak pada bus 10BBT01-03 dan bus 20BBT01-02 dengan nilai sebesar 60,09 cal/cm2 dalam keadaan existing kemudian dilakukan resetting nilai incident energy menjadi menjadi 49,04 cal/cm2.

Arc flash is an energy thats throught out when short circuit occurs. Base from IEEE 1584 – 2002 that define arc flash calculation for low voltage and medium voltage electrical systems gives the boundary and incident energy analysis for arc flash. When the employees work at the restricted area, arc flash boundary and incident energy are necessary to define. First to determine best clearence it must be calculate arc flash boundary and to give the suitable personal protective equipment to protect from the denger. Incident energy can be determined by bolted three phase fault current. Bolted three phase current can be huge when the fault clearing time of protective equipment to long to clear the interuption. So, fault clearing time must be as fast possible to reducing arc incident energy. Correct protective coordination phase overcurrent can reduce arc incident energy when arc flash occurs. To analyzing incident energy in this final project, the author compare existing incident energy with resetting condition coordination at PLTU Pacitan thats gives by simulate incident energy arc flash with ETAP 12.6 siimulator and gives the largest value of incident energys at typical 1A and 1B and typicak 2A and typical 2B. typical 1A and 1B gives the greatest incident energy are 60,09 cal/cm2 at bus 10BBT01-03 and bus 20BBT01-02 at existing condition and 33,06 cal/cm2. At typical 2A and 2B the largest incident energy at bus 10BBT01-02 and bus 20BBT01-03 is 60,09 cal/cm2 at existing condition and 49,04 cal/cm2, it is exceed the bigest level of incident energy (>4), so gives differential relay is best choice to reduce this incident energy.
