Abstract

Sedangkan, pada permukaan isolator tanpa kontaminan tidak terdapat polutan dan permukaan jadi lebih rata.=============================================================================================================In this study, testing about the effect of the thickness contaminant level by measuring ESDD level on insulator surface against leakage current and pre-breakdown voltage on insulator polymer surface was investigated. To analyze the effect of the thickness contaminant level, then accelerated aging test is needed as a pre-condition insulator. This test is done by giving artificial contaminants and environmental pressure. This test was tested in accelerated aging chamber. Then to find the effect of contaminations against dielectrics strength, withstand test and pre-breakdown voltage measurement is required. This test be used to find the effect of ESDD thickness against the leakage current and pre-breakdown voltage. The value of leakage current and pre-breakdown voltage in new polimer insulator is 0.7278mA and 55kV. When the ESDD thickness is 0.3994 gr/cm2 the leakage current and pre-breakdown voltage on insulator is 5.259 mA and 38kV. So, the conclusion is thickness of ESDD give effect to increase dry band arcing activities on insulator surface. This activities can arise corona on insulator surface. Corona can leads the electrical lossess on system. In this study testing of SEM and obtained results on the surface of polymer contaminated insulator appears cracks arising due to layers of pollutants is carried out. These cracks increases the activity of the dry band arcing and corona.
