Abstract
Identifikasi biometrik adalah suatu teknik yang secara otomatis dapat mengidentifikasi atau mengenali suatu individu berdasarkan karakteristik fisik atau ciri-ciri pribadi seseorang. Istilah ‘otomatis’ memberi arti bahwa sistem identifikasi biometrik harus dapat mengidentifikasi suatu karakteristik atau ciri-ciri pribadi seseorang secara cepat tanpa intervensi dari orang tersebut. Teknologi identifikasi biometrik banyak dikembangkan untuk aplikasi pada sistem keamanan tingkat tinggi dan pada bidang penegakan hukum.
Pada Tugas akhir ini dibuat sistem keamanan pintu berbasis biometrik citra wajah dengan menggunakan pemodelan citra wajah berdasarkan LBP (Local Binary Pattern). Sistem keamanan ini dapat mendeteksi citra-citra wajah manusia yang diperoleh oleh kamera dan sekaligus sistem dapat mengenali citra wajah yang telah terdeteksi.
Citra wajah yang dideteksi oleh kamera akan diproses sedemikian hingga citra wajah dikenali oleh basis-data. Jika wajah dikenal yaitu merupakan wajah yang terdapat pada basis-data sistem, maka komputer akan mengirim sinyal ke Arduino untuk membuka pintu. Sistem dikembangkan dengan menggunakan personal komputer dan perangkat lunak Matlab serta sistem minimum Arduino sebagai interface ke bagian input output yaitu Solenoid, Keypad dan LCD display.
Pengujian memberikan hasil bahwa dengan ekspresi wajah yang berbeda beda pun citra wajah dapat dideteksi dan dikenali sehingga pemakai dapat membuka Kunci Solenoid. Persentase keberhasilan adalah 92%.

Biometric identification is a technique that can automatically identify or recognize an individual based on their physical characteristics or traits of the person. The term 'automatic' gives the sense that the biometric identification system should be able to identify a characteristic or personal traits someone quickly without intervention of the person. Biometric identification technology has been developed for applications in high-level security systems and in the field of law enforcement.
In this final project a Door security system made based biometric face image by using the image-based face modeling LBP (Local Binary Pattern). This security system can detect a human face images obtained by the camera and at the same time the system can recognize a face image has been detected.
The face image detected by the camera will be processed so that the facial image is recognized by the database. If the face is known that a face contained in the database system, the computer will send a signal to the Arduino to open the door. The system was developed using personal computers and software Matlab and minimum system Arduino as an interface to the inputs and outputs are Solenoid, keypad and LCD display.
The test provides results that with different facial expressions also face image can be detected and identified so that the user can open the Lock Solenoid. Percentage of success is 92%.
