Abstract
Beton yang selama ini dikenal sebagai material yang “tahan karat”, sebenarnya bisa juga mengalami korosi sebagaimana korosi atau karat yang terjadi pada struktur baja. Menurut buku Corrosion for Science and Engineering (K. R. Trethewey and J. Chamberlain, 1991) bahwa korosi merupakan kerusakan material yang disebabkan oleh pengaruh lingkungan sekelilingnya. Adapun proses korosi yang terjadi disamping oleh reaksi kimia juga diakibatkan oleh proses elektro kimia. Di sini yang dimaksud dengan lingkungan sekelilingnya dapat berupa lingkungan asam, udara, embun, air tawar, air laut, air danau, air sungai dan air tanah. Seperti halnya kaki dermaga, kaki dermaga memerlukan sebuah sistem katodik proteksi agar dapat mencapai umur desain dermaga tersebut. Pada Terminal Multipurpose Teluk Lamong sebagai kasus permasalahan yang diambil. Dengan memiliki kaki dermaga sebanyak 810 buah serta umur desain hingga 100 tahun perlu diadakan perencanaan katodik proteksi. Perencanaan katodik proteksi ini ada dua macam jenis yaitu SACP ( Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection ) dan ICCP ( Impressed Current Cathodic Protection ) yang dipertimbangkan dalam hal teknis maupun ekonomis. Lebih banyak kasus untuk desain ICCP cenderung relatif lebih ekonomis daripada desain SACP tetapi penerapan desainnya lebih rumit. ICCP cenderung untuk bangunan dengan umur desain yang lama. ========================================================================================================================

By having the foot dock as much as 810 pieces as well as up to 100-year design lifespan need cathodic protection planning was held. This cathodic protection planning there are two kinds of SACP (Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection) and ICCP (Impressed Current Cathodic Protection) are taken into consideration in terms of technical or economical. More a case for ICCP design tend to be relatively more economical than the design of the SACP but the application design is more complicated. ICCP tends to the building with the long life design.
