Abstract
Penduduk Provinsi Jawa Timur tahun 2015 sebesar 38.847.561 jiwa.

Population of East Java Province in 2015 amounted to 38.847.561 inhabitants. In the health performance for pregnant women, have reached the target although the number of maternal deaths is high. Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in East Java was 89.6 deaths per 100,000 births. The target set by the MDGs is 102 deaths per 100,000 births. Although East Java has reached the target set but improving the quality of services for pregnant women is still lacking. To know the factors that influence the number of maternal deaths, they was modeled the number of maternal mortality using the Geographically Weighted Negative Binomial Regression (GWNBR). The weighting matrix used is fixed kernel and adaptive kernel. The predictor variable use the percentage of pregnant women who didd the K1 program, the percentage of pregnant women who did the K4 program, the ratio of couples who implemented the family planning program, the percentage of obstetric complications assisted by health personnel, the percentage of pregnant women who received iron tablets, the percentage of pregnant women who got TT2 + immunization, the ratio of health workers in each district and city, percentage of postpartum maternal health services, percentage of postpartum or maternal women receiving vitamin A, and percentage of households being clean and healthy. The result obtained that the best model use fixed tricube kernel with AIC is 194.02
