Abstract

Wilayah Indonesia terbentang sepanjang 3.977 mil di antara Samudra Hindia dan
Samudra Pasifik. Luas daratan Indonesia adalah 1.922.570 km² dan luas perairannya
3.257.483 km². Dengan luas perairan tersebut maka daerah perairan yang harus dijaga oleh
pemerintah Indonesia tidaklah sedikit. Kapal selam merupakan salah satu ujung tombak
pemerintah dalam hal ini TNI-AL untuk menjaga kedaulatan wilayah perairan NKRI. Dengan
jumlah 2 buah kapalselam yang dimiliki, angka tersebut termasuk sangat sedikit, mengingat
betapa luasnya perairan di NKRI jika dibandingkan dengan negara tetangga. Kapal selam Mini
(midget submarine) dirasa dapat memenuhi kebutuhan Intelijensi dan monitoring perairan
Indonesia. Midget Submarine atau kapal selam cebol / mini adalah jenis kapal selam dengan
bobot dibawah 150 ton, biasanya dioperasikan oleh satu atau dua awak tapi terkadang sampai
6 atau 9, dengan sedikit atau tanpa akomodasi hidup. Di dalam Tugas Akhir ini akan dibahas
tentang mencari ukuran utama dan pembuatan desain kapal selam secara umum. Ukuran utama
kapal ditentukan dari kebutuhan volume pressure hull berdasarkan operational requirements.
Proses desain midget submarine berupa perhitungan teknis awal, Rencana Garis dan Rencana
Umum dapat dilakukan setelah mendapatkan ukuran utama yang dibutuhkan. Setelah desain
awal didapatkan maka dilakukan pemeriksaan teknis. Pemeriksaan teknis berupa pemeriksaan
hambatan, berat dan titik berat, serta analisa stabilitas. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan pula
simulasi hambatan menggunakan CFD . Pada akhirnya didapatkan hasil desain midget
submarine yang mampu membawa 8 orang crew, dengan ukuran utama L : 21 m ; D : 3 m ; H
: 4.641 m ; V submerged : 9 knot ; Submerged Displacement : 120.645 ton ; Surfaced
Displasement Surfaced : 108.58 ton.

Indonesian territory extends along 3.977 miles between the Indian Ocean and Pacific
Ocean. Indonesia’s land area is 1.922.570 km2 and the watres area is 3.257.483 km2. Those not
a little water area to be maintained by Indonesian goverment. The submarine is one of the
mainstay of the goverment in this case Indonesian Navy to maintain Republic Indonesia
soveregeignty of their territorial waters. With the amount of 2 pieces of submarine owned, it
can be said by a very small numbers. Considering how widely the waters of Republic Indonesia
when compared with neighboring countries. Midget submarine able to meet the needs of
intilligence and monitoring the waters of Indonesia. Midget Submarine is a type of submarine
with a weight below 150 tons, typically operated by one or two crew members but sometimes
up to 6 or 9, with little or no on-board living accommodation. In this final project will be
discussed about the search of main dimenssion and the design of submarine in general.The main
dimenssion of the submarine is determined by needs of pressure hull volume based on
operational requirements. The submarine desgn process is in the form of thecnical calculations,
lines plan and general arrangement. Those can be done after getting the needed of main
dimenssions. After the initial design obtained then be done a technical checks. Technical checks
be an examination of the resistance, weight and center of gravity, and also the stability analysis.
In this final project the submarine reistance is also simulated by CFD. At the end of the process,
is obtained a midget submarine with capability to carrying 8 crew, and the main dimenssions is
L : 21 m ; D : 3 m ; H : 4.641 m ; V submerged : 9 knot ; Submerged Displacement : 120.645
ton ; Surfaced Displasement Surfaced : 108.58 ton.
