Abstract

The weir serve to overflow excessive water discharge and overcome the dangers of overtopping of hydraulics structure types. The flow of water flowing in the overflow in terms of the hydraulic characteristics is determined not only by the weir, but also by other flow parameters, ie the weir geometry of the width, the thickness, and the height of the weir overlay. From that basis then the author conducted a research flow through an overflow weir with a linear and multi half-circular geometry. Multi-circular weir will have the ability to drain greater discharge than linear weirs. This is because the multi halfcircular had length is greater than the linear weir. The experiment was conducted by measuring the flow on the linear weir abutment model and the multiple half-circular weir placed in the flume in the laboratory. The water level in the hill is measured using a sensor (Ultrasonic Water Level Recorder). The flow discharge is calculated from the measurement data based on the rehbock hydraulic formula, while the data analysis uses descriptive statistical method to get the average value and error.
From the results of this study, the researcher presents the graph of the relationship between the water level in the overflow hill and discharge, the water level graph and the discharge through the spillway, and the graph of the relationship between the discha coefficient and H / P (water level and high abundance).
